A former boat owner with an innate love for the sea, she has explored more than 30 countries, including many of the world’s premier charter destinations—from the Balearics and the French Riviera to Australia, Greece, Croatia, Turkey, Italy, and the Caribbean.
Before joining Sanderson Yachting as Partner & CEO, Erin devoted three years to attending every major yacht charter show worldwide. She personally inspected hundreds of luxury vessels, met with top-tier crews to ensure the perfect match for her clients, and experienced onboard cuisine to confirm it met the five-star standards she brings to every journey. This deep, firsthand knowledge allows Erin to craft recommendations with unmatched insight and authenticity.

For nearly two decades, Sandy Carney has been at the forefront of bespoke yacht travel, curating exceptional journeys for discerning clients around the world. She founded Sanderson Yachting in 2006 with a singular vision: to elevate yacht chartering into an effortless, deeply personal experience defined by trust, discretion, and impeccable care.
Sandy’s connection to the sea is lifelong. She is a seasoned sailor, certified instructor, and accomplished racer whose firsthand experience at the helm gives her an intimate understanding of yacht performance, onboard comfort, and what truly shapes an extraordinary week at sea. She spent ten years licensed under the U.S. Coast Guard Launch program, raced one-designs, taught sailing at the yacht club level, and even served as Managing Editor of CRUISING WORLD magazine. This rare blend of on-the-water expertise and editorial insight allows her to evaluate yachts with a depth and discernment few in the industry possess.

Sandy has held respected roles with Alden Yachts, Newport Yacht Services, Little Harbor, Hinckley, and Churchill — experience that has shaped her reputation as a trusted, well-respected professional within the yachting community. Today, her standing is further reflected in her membership with both the American and Mediterranean Yacht Brokers Associations, two of the industry’s most exclusive professional bodies.
Many of Sandy’s clients seek her out specifically for her confidentiality, judicious guidance, and refined judgment. Shana Caye is an accomplished yacht charter broker whose passion for travel, hospitality, and elevated guest experiences has quickly distinguished her in the industry. She has attended prestigious global events including the Cannes Yachting Festival, the Monaco Yacht Show, Croatia Yacht Show, the Newport Charter Show, and the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show — deepening her knowledge of the world’s finest yachts and crews.

Shana has traveled throughout the world and has enjoyed yacht charters in the BVI, Greece and Croatia, giving her a personal understanding of what defines an exceptional journey at sea.
