Sail Through History & Beauty

Greece is where ancient history meets breathtaking landscapes, and sailing here is unlike anywhere else. With hundreds of islands scattered across sparkling blue seas, each with its own charm, Greece offers an irresistible mix of cultural treasures, laid-back island life, and world-class cruising waters.

Whether it’s your first charter or your fifteenth, this guide will help you choose the right route and season to make the most of your Greek sailing adventure.

☀️ Best Time to Visit & When to Book

The best time for a Greek yacht charter is May through mid-October, with peak season in July and August. During these months, expect:

  • Highs of 80–90°F in July & August
  • Highs of 70–80°F in May, June, and September
  • Plenty of sunshine and very little rain

Booking tips:

  • Reserve 6–12 months in advance for peak summer months (June–August)
  • May, June, September and October offer fewer crowds and lower rates
  • September has the warmest water of the season and less crowds

✈️ Getting to Greece

Athens (ATH)

  • Most charters begin and end in Athens, making it the most convenient embarkation point.
  • The marina is just a 30–45 minute taxi ride from the airport.

Other Departure Ports:

  • Lefkas (PVK) in the Ionian Sea — ideal for exploring Greece’s lush western islands.
  • Mykonos (JMK) in the Cyclades — perfect for an iconic island-hopping experience.

We’ll assist in arranging all travel details once your yacht and route are confirmed.
