Hailing from Chile, now residing in Valencia we are proud to introduce Chef Marcelo.
Although growing up in Barcelona, Marcelo studied in his birthplace of Chile to practice Gastronomy at INACAP in Santiago. Travel was integral to Marcelo’s professional career before joining the yachting industry where he worked as a private chef in Ibiza, London and LA. Notably in 2018 Marcelo was in Qatar working as head chef to the Royal Family in Doha.
The following year, looking to broaden his skill set, make new connections and continue to travel, Marcelo moved over to super yachts. His specialties include Mediterranean, Italian and European cooking and he is well versed to cater for various dietary needs and requirements. His passion is cooking over an open fire - sadly not possible on board a boat, but Marcelo explains there is something special about cooking on embers, the smoke and connection between making food and fire together in unison.
Outside the galley Marcelo enjoys history, art and music. Check out his food Instagram page @chefmarcelohqz
We can’t wait for you to feast on his gastronomic delights.

Born in Durban, South Africa, we’re thrilled to introduce Brittany as your Bosun on board. She grew up on a farm riding horses and living life in the great outdoors from a young age. By 13, her family had moved to the coast, where she took up surfing — and from 14 to 19, she competed as a surfer, eventually becoming national champion in both longboard and shortboard categories.
Brittany explains that she would have loved to pursue a professional surfing career, but it placed too much of a strain on her family. Instead, she found her way into yachting through a close friend already in the industry. With her love of salt water, it felt like the perfect fit, and she landed her first role as a deckhand in 2019, based out of Monaco.
She now holds her Yachtmaster Offshore qualification, is a certified PADI diver, and of course is a strong swimmer thanks to her surfing background. When she can’t be in the water, she turns to running and other board sports like snowboarding and wakeboarding. Any extreme sport is fair game — her ultimate goal is to one day base jump in a wingsuit!
