Born in South Africa, Trey developed a deep connection to the ocean from an early age, growing up with a father who was a commercial fisherman. He began working on boats in 2012, and over the course of his career has explored more than 56 countries, gaining extensive experience across a variety of vessels and maritime environments.
Trey now brings his expertise and dedication to keeping operations running smoothly in the engine room, earning a reputation for reliability and technical skill. When not on board, he enjoys rugby, fishing, spearfishing, and riding his motocross bike whenever he gets the chance.

Trey Johnson

Born in South Africa, Chase developed a passion for the ocean early in life, which naturally evolved into a career in yachting. After completing his formal maritime training and obtaining his MCA Master 3000GT, he embarked on a career that has taken him across the Caribbean, Bahamas, US East Coast, and Southeast Asia. Known for his calm leadership style and hands-on approach, Chase quickly moved up the ranks and earned a reputation for his ability to manage both high-pressure charters and complex shipyard periods with ease. In 2013, he served as First Mate aboard M/Y Tanvas throughout Southeast Asia, navigating challenging waters and remote destinations. He went on to hold senior positions on a range of high-profile vessels including M/Y Antares and M/Y Stay Salty, where he successfully ran over 28 trips annually—balancing demanding Owners’ schedules and back-to-back charters with precision. In recent years, Chase has provided relief and freelance Captain services for several yachts such as M/Y Kamakasa, M/Y South, and M/Y Chasing Daylight, while also assisting management companies with refits, Boss trips, and insurance claims. Most recently, he captained M/Y King Baby as Rotational Captain during a technically demanding period following a lightning strike. Throughout his career, Chase has been recognized for leading cohesive crews, delivering exceptional guest experiences, and maintaining high standards of safety, organization, and hospitality. When not on board, he enjoys staying active, traveling, and spending time with his wife in Fort Lauderdale.

Jacob was a national dinghy racing competitor in his youth, sailing out of the Pleon Yacht Club. He spent 10 years in California’s
surfboard manufacturing industry, working with renowned brands such as Al Merrick and Pearson Arrow Surfboards. During that
time, he also worked part-time in the agriculture industry and developed a strong enthusiasm for gardening. Jacob has a deep
passion for the ocean and is excited to pursue a career in marine engineering. In his free time, he enjoys surfing, skating, hiking, and
swimming.

Born just outside Cape Town, South Africa, Calum has had a lifelong connection to the ocean, spending his youth surfing and fishing along the coast. This passion naturally led him to the yachting industry, where he began his career at the age of 19 and has since gained valuable experience on vessels around the world.
Calum is known for his genuine enthusiasm and dedication to creating unforgettable guest experiences, whether through watersports, fishing trips, or surfing adventures. Focused on progressing through the ranks, he continues to develop his skills and build a long-term career in yachting.

Bio: Jovelle was born in the Philippines and moved to Canada at the age of 15, bringing with her a strong sense of determination and a winning smile. Jovelle worked for five years in fast-paced restaurants and coffee-houses before, inspired by her aunt, a former chief stewardess, she began working on yachts. Although relatively new to yachting, Jovelle is eager to learn and excel in every challenge she encounters.

Born in Maine, Calvin developed a love for the ocean and seafood while lobster fishing during his summers. He went on to graduate from the Culinary Institute of America and has since honed his culinary skills around the world, drawing inspiration from a variety of cuisines.
Calvin is passionate about creating flavorful, beautifully presented dishes, tailoring menus to guests’ tastes and dietary preferences. With extensive experience provisioning across the U.S., Alaska, the East Coast, the Caribbean, and the Mediterranean including a Transatlantic crossing he excels at maximizing galley resources and delivering exceptional dining experiences. When not in the galley, Calvin enjoys fishing and taking in the sea breeze on deck.

Outside of work, he enjoys gaming, art, and music, which brings creativity and balance to his life. His long-term goal is to build a successful career, support his family, and create opportunities for those close to him. Alex aims to bring a positive attitude, professionalism, and teamwork to every vessel and crew he joins.

Rene’t brings over 18 years of experience in the yachting industry, having worked on vessels ranging from 40m to 130m across both charter and private programs. She is an experienced and highly organized Chief Stewardess known for leading efficient interior departments while maintaining exceptional service standards in high-pressure charter environments and long-term cruising programs. Rene’t has extensive experience on explorer-style yachts and remote itineraries, supporting dive and surf based guest experiences in off-the-beaten-track destinations worldwide. Her leadership style is calm, professional and hands-on, with a strong focus on team morale, guest satisfaction, and operational efficiency. She is passionate about creating seamless guest experiences while mentoring junior crew and maintaining smooth interior operations.
