Mehmet was born in 1983 in Istanbul and is married with 3 children. After completing his training as a mechanical technician because of his love for the sea and engineering abilities he started working on yachts in 2002. He has worked as a chief engineer on various motor and sailing yachts for 12 years and has crossed the Atlantic 6 times as chief engineer. He also decided to diversify his career and has worked as a captain for 7 years on private yachts. He now brings his great experience and knowledge to SY Asolare.

Hedyl is a very experienced stewardess from the Philippines. She completed university with a degree Bachelor of Science in Tourism Business in Singapore and gained extensive experience in multiple prestigious international hotels. She has now been in the yachting industry for 13 years and has worked as chief stewardess on large well know superyachts based all around the world. She loves to work on sail yachts specifically and has a passion for cooking.

Nick is from New Zealand and has spent his life working on yachts around the world. He has over 20 years' experience on large sail and motor yachts and extensive knowledge of the Mediterranean, Caribbean, and Pacific. He has circumnavigated the world in the Whitbread around the world race (now known as the Volvo) and has sailed as far north as Greenland while sailing the northwest passage on a small cruising yacht. He greatly enjoys taking his guests sailing and showing them his favourite haunts. In his free time, Nick spends time with his family and enjoys sailing, hiking, and photography and also like to write and sketch.

Chris comes from a small coastal town an hour and a half away from Cape Town. Most of his life he spent growing up by the ocean, which has made him the person he is today. He enjoys skateboarding and has a passion for water sports including body boarding, surfing, kite surfing, sailing, and free diving. Chris started yachting in 2014 as a deckhand on sailing yachts and expedition yachts, doing deliveries in and around South Africa. He then decided to join the superyacht industry in the Mediterranean in 2016, working on a variety of boats including classic sailing yachts, motor yachts, as well as his previous vessel: a 56-meter sailing yacht. Chris’ passion in life is keeping an active lifestyle; most days you’ll find him in the gym after work or on his way to the beach.

Matthew is a very experienced chef with passion for ocean and traveling. He enjoys fresh ingredients and learning about different cultures and cuisines. Being a chef is his hobby as well as work, he loves to cook with friends and in restaurants. Matthew started to work on classic yachts 20 years ago. He had the privilege to meet guests from around the world which inspired his creativity. The most important challenge and excitement of the ASOLARE's galley is to see people happy and smiling after a nice meal.

Raised on the East coast of the States and apprenticed mechanically in the automotive industry, Brian’s interests quickly shifted to the Maritimes in 1983 where yacht maintenance and engineering subsidized travel and adventure interests.
The opportunity to sail an Ocean passage in 1992 lured him to his first crewed Yachting position, there was never a doubt that this would evolve into a life profession.
This career path has included Engineering and Captaining Roles on pedigree sailing and explorer yachts including Perini Navi, Royal Huisman and Alloy yachts NZ.
Yachting and marine industry has taken him to four corners of the planet and now takes great pleasure in showing clients and crew a unique view of the world that only yachting can offer.
