Sophie grew up on the Cornish coast but didn’t begin sailing until she joined the yachting industry in her early twenties. She quickly fell in love with the industry and has been travelling the world on sailing yachts ever since. When not at sea, Sophie enjoys hiking, visiting historical sites, and spending time with her family and two beloved Labradors.

Libby grew up in the UK by the Solent and enjoyed a variety of activities on the water from a young age. She studied Zoology at university before her love for cooking and travel led her to a career on yachts. Throughout her ten year yachting career, Libby has travelled extensively in the Mediterranean, the Far East, the Caribbean, and South America. She holds a Diploma in Culinary Arts from WhitePepper Chef Academy in the UK, and has worked as chef on a variety of vessels. Libby enjoys creating menus based on many kinds of cuisine, especially Mediterranean and Thai. Food, travel and wildlife will always be her key passions, along with yoga, diving and rock climbing.

Charles is from the small town known as East London in South Africa. Growing up on the coast, Charles enjoyed all the activities that the ocean has to offer. In his spare time, he finds pleasure in surfing, fishing, freediving and fixing up classic cars. Charles joined the yachting industry in 2016 and has done a fair share of off the grid cruising on expedition boats. Sailing is something that he loves, and he is looking forward to share this passion with guests on board ATALANTE.

Mike grew up in Durban, South Africa. Attending Scouts at a young age is where the sailing bug hit. Growing up racing small catamarans competing nationally and internationally this lead to crewing on bigger vessels around the world. Mike has spent the last 10 years sailing the best cruising destinations in the world with guests giving them the unique sailing holiday experience. In Mike’s free time he enjoys mountain biking, kite surfing, and hiking.

ATALANTE is a Truly Classic design (TC127) from Hoek Designs and constructed at the Claasen Shipyard. The 127 foot superyacht combines the elegant aesthetics of the 1930s with a modern hull configuration to achieve superb sailing performance. In terms of interior style, she has a classic look and feel with raised and fielded panels, white painted panels above wainscot level and a range of classic details.
Her guest accommodation includes a double en suite master cabin with direct access to the aft deckhouse and forward to the salon and bar. There are two further guest cabins - a VIP double to port and a VIP twin to starboard. Both cabins are spacious and finished to the same high standards as the rest of the yacht. On deck there are two cockpits - one aft for sailing and one forward providing a safe, comfortable space amidships for relaxing or alfresco dining.
