Marco hails from Mexico and has 15 years of marine engineering experience. He graduated from Merchant Marine School and before joining Babbo, he worked on commercial fishing vessels off the western coast of Mexico. Outside of work, he enjoys trying new cuisines and taking part in contact sports. His passion for jujitsu has led him to obtain his black belt!

Matt was born and raised in Newcastle, England and has been a chef for 20 years. He served as a Group Executive Chef for a decade, where one of the highlights of his career was cooking for the X Factor team. He then joined the yachting industry to broaden his culinary skills and see more of the world. In his spare time, Matt loves to surf, play football and try new restaurants for cooking inspiration!

Paco is originally from Mexico and studied Geographic & Hydrographic Engineering at university. He was a part of the sailing team for Cuauhtemoc at the Merchant Navy university, and then graduated and joined a larger sailing yacht before joining Babbo. In his spare time, Paco loves to explore new places and is very sporty – he loves to play padel, football and go for a long run.

Tex is a New Zealand-born captain who spent much of his childhood growing up in the Cook Islands, developing a lifelong connection to the ocean and remote island cruising. Holding a Master 3000 GT Unlimited Oceans License, he has over 15 years of experience operating throughout the Mediterranean, Caribbean, Bahamas, Pacific, Asia, Australia, New Zealand and the United States. He has completed multiple Atlantic and Pacific crossings and is highly regarded for his strong leadership, technical expertise and practical approach to yacht management. A qualified Dive Master and experienced waterman, he brings a wealth of knowledge in diving, fishing, watersports and remote destination cruising.

Tara was born and raised in England and is of Indian and Irish descent. She studied Anthropology at university and then went on to work in different management roles in hospitality, including Restaurant Manager at Chelsea Football Club. She then joined the yachting industry and has developed her interests in flower bouquets, table settings and wine. Outside of work, Tara enjoys swimming, hiking and getting lost in a good book!

Bob was born and raised in South Africa, but now calls Portugal home. He has more than 20 years of experience in the yachting industry, where he has travelled the world across the Mediterranean, Asia and the Indian Ocean. Bob has experience on both private and charter yachts, and has spent a lot of his time working in Australia & the Pacific. His love for the ocean extends to his hobbies outside of work, as he is a keen surfer and fisherman. You will also always find him seeking out the nearest golf course whenever he gets the chance!

Juan was born and raised in Mexico. Growing up, he focused on working and studying; work is a fundamental part of his family as they are merchants. He initially studied communication sociology and education at the University of Guerrero, and when he finished, he decided to study naval mechanical engineering. Juan worked in the oil industry and later shifted his focus to the yachting industry. His hobbies include training in jiu-jitsu, scuba diving, surfing, and basically all extreme sports.

Ewan was born and raised in South Africa, where his passion for the ocean developed from an early age. Known for his professionalism, attention to detail and calm, approachable nature, Ewan takes pride in delivering a high standard of service while creating a fun, safe and engaging environment on board. He is a professional photographer & videographer, so he has a sharp eye for capturing the unforgettable moments of a charter. In his free time, Ewan enjoys practicing his art of photography and flying his done to perfect his craft.

Miguel, originally from Mazatlán, Mexico, grew up by the Pacific Ocean, and it didn't take long for him to realize that life at sea was where he belonged. He has spent more than 10 years working onboard vessels, including the last 6 years in the yachting industry. Throughout his career, he has worked his way up to Chief Officer, driven by a passion for the ocean, continuous learning, and a desire to take on new challenges. One of the things Miguel enjoys most about this industry is the opportunity to explore different parts of the world. Every destination has something unique to offer, but if he had to choose a favorite, the crystal-clear turquoise waters of the Bahamas would be hard to beat. When Miguel is off duty, you will find him surfing, swimming, fishing, training in the gym, or planning his next adventure. He believes that staying active, curious, and open to new experiences is just as important as developing professionally.

Sian was born and raised in South Africa. She studied psychology up until her honours degree at university and then began her journey in yachting. From a young age, Sian worked in restaurants and loved interacting with people. She has honed her service skills and loves to get creative with cocktails and table settings! Outside of work, you will find Sian working out at the gym or relaxing on the beach.
