Alex Dobson grew up in the coastal city of Auckland, New Zealand, where life by the water naturally steered her toward a career in yachting. Since starting straight out of school, she’s gained valuable experience working on boats throughout the Mediterranean and Australia. Energetic, adaptable, and team-oriented, Alex thrives in active environments and is passionate about water sports, fishing, and team sports like hockey and netball. She’s always chasing new challenges and fresh horizons, which is why she’s thrilled to be stepping aboard Batello for the next leg of her journey.

Kim, originally from Cape Town, spent her formative years in Johannesburg. She first ventured into entrepreneurship by starting her own dog-walking and pet-grooming business before embarking on a journey of travel and self-discovery. Her adventure began in India, where she completed her yoga teacher training, followed by diving in Indonesia’s stunning islands and learning to kite surf in Tarifa, Spain. It was during her travels that she was introduced to the world of yachting. Now, with six years in the industry, Kim shares her passion for adventure, the ocean, and creativity by curating stunning table decorations and organizing unforgettable events for guests onboard. Though she grew up as an only child, her home was always filled with family and friends, making her a natural fit for life onboard.

Born in London but raised in One Mile Beach, Australia. Luc grew up with the ocean on his doorstep and koalas in his garden. His early years fostered a deep connection to nature and the water, shaping the adventurous spirit that defines him today. After completing high school and earning a degree in Biomedical Science, he spent two years traveling through Europe. Luc returned to Australia and worked as an account manager in the pharmaceutical and medical device industries for four years. However, it became evident corporate city life was not for him. Luc pursued a career at sea from 2012 onwards. Already having worked on a number of vessels ranging from 50-85m, Luc joined what was then MY AMEVI, in 2016 as a bosun, he has steadily climbed the ranks and ultimately earnt the privilege of being rotational captain on MY Batello. He has gained extensive experience in yacht operations, safety management, and leadership. At his core, He values trust, fairness, and integrity, bringing a people-first approach to leadership every day. Luc lives in Cape Town with his wife and two children, often found camping, hiking, climbing, surfing, or diving.

With 12 years of experience working on yachts across the globe, he holds a prestigious Chief Mate Yachts certificate. When he's not busy onboard, Todd can be found riding the waves, casting his fishing line, or taking leisurely walks with his furry companions along the sandy shores. I’m a British Second Officer with over ten years of maritime experience, including three years as a deck officer. I live in Godalming, Surrey, with my fiancée Victoria – a picturesque town that featured in the film The Holiday. I grew up locally and have always been drawn to the outdoors, with a lifelong love for animals - especially dogs, who’ve always been a big part of my life. I speak English and enjoy anything adventurous or physically demanding, from hiking and running to getting involved in team fitness on board. I’ve summited Kilimanjaro, completed the UK National Three Peaks Challenge, and I’m always on the lookout for the next adventure. Before working on larger vessels, I spent time as a sailing instructor, which gave me a solid foundation and love for life at sea. I am currently working towards my Master CoC.

Brodie is a born and bred waterman from Auckland, New Zealand, with a deep-rooted passion for the sea. Growing up surrounded by surfing and boating, he developed a love for maritime life early on. With two years of experience in the yachting industry, his career at sea was early inspired by his father’s long-term involvement with the America's Cup and his grandfather’s worldwide command with the New Zealand Navy. With 7 years of carpentry experience under his belt, Brodie brings a strong sense of tradition and expertise to his work, ensuring a professional and dedicated approach to every project.

Born and raised on the waters of Rio de Janeiro, Wanessa is a true Carioca with a love for summer, carnival, and spending time with friends and family. Passionate about the sea and nature, she has been involved in sports since childhood, including eight years as a professional swimmer. The only one in her family drawn to water and art, she became her lineage's first sailor and actress. With a degree in performing arts, she spent years writing, directing, acting, and producing for theatre and film, as well as filming and editing videos. In 2022, she transitioned into the yachting industry and never looked back. Her hobbies include playing sports, drawing, painting, reading, dancing, and enjoying time with friends. A fast learner, she thrives on acquiring new knowledge and pushing her limits, always striving for growth and excellence.

Originally from the Philippines, Sandy began his yachting career in 2007 as a deckhand, gaining extensive hands-on experience across both private and charter yachts. Through hard work, dedication, and a strong desire to grow, he progressed to the role of bosun, mastering every aspect of deck operations and building a solid background in maintenance, guest service and water sports. Over the years, Sandy has become an adept tender operator where his precision, safety focus and attention to detail stands out. Driven by a commitment to learning and professional growth, he has evolved into a highly skilled, dependable position, always ready to take on new challenges and responsibilities. Sandy takes pride in creating memorable moments for guests. Friendly, approachable, and a genuine team player, he is dedicated to maintaining a welcoming environment on board, making him an invaluable crew member.

Luka was born and raised in Zadar, a coastal town where life moves to the rhythm of the sea. With a father and grandfather serving as Captain and Chief engineers in the merchant navy, his bond with the ocean was forged from an early age. A passionate waterman, he grew up spearfishing and exploring the Adriatic, later turning his love for the sea into a career. He holds an OOW license and a Master’s degree in Maritime Transport and Technology, combining strong academic knowledge with hands-on experience. Throughout his career, he has worked as a skipper on various types of vessels, a charter and sales assistant in the IYC office, and a supply manager for a fleet of three tankers. Additionally, he has gained valuable seafaring experience as a deck cadet and seaman aboard both merchant ships and private yachts. With a strong maritime heritage, versatile skill set, and deep-rooted passion for the sea, he brings dedication, professionalism, and a calm, confident presence to any crew he joins.

Peter, originally from Australia’s Sunshine Coast, spent years as a land-based chef before transitioning to yachting. He owned an award-winning restaurant in Sydney and worked alongside renowned chefs like John Burton Race, Jonathan Wright, and David Feys, gaining invaluable experience. His global culinary journey includes Gidleigh Park in Devon, La Tante Claire, and Putney Bridge in London. He loves Costa Rica for its food culture and Dubai for its unique traditions. Outside the kitchen, Peter enjoys fishing, surfing, spearfishing, photography, and fitness. He cherishes time with his wife, three daughters, and dog—embracing Australia’s great outdoors. His passion? Elevating every guest’s experience, one bite at a time!
