Rob has been at sea for over 15 years after completing a 3 year Commercial Cadetship in 2009. This enabled him to work on big commercial ships all around the world. After 5 years and working his way up to be the youngest ever Chief Engineer at a local Ferry Company, he traded this in for a life on yachts. Since then, Rob has been on several yachts ranging from 35-50m. Having grown up in Antigua due to his father being a Commander in the British Royal Navy he was around yachts and the ocean from a young age which helped push him towards this lifestyle.

Morgan is originally from sunny South Africa. He began his yachting career in 2024 after completing his training in Cape Town. Starting out building a sailboat in the UK, then working as a mixologist behind the bar onboard Mirage Catamaran in Cape Town. He joined M/Y BINA in February 2026 and brings multi skills on deck from DJ’ing to content creation capturing iconic memories and experiences for guests. Morgan is a true adventurer and an advocate for animal conservation working as an advanced anti poacher before transitioning from the bush to the ocean. His other interests include Free diving, snorkeling and surfing.

Matthew grew up in a small town on the outskirts of Manchester. He joined the yachting industry in 2023 on a 120m yacht followed by a further 3 years on a 77m and immediately fell in love with all the traveling and meeting great people along the way. He is excited to start a brand new season and adventure onboard M/Y BINA. With all of Matthew’s experience within the interior and, even spent some time as a chef, he brings a strong, well-rounded expertise as well as his bubbly personality. During Matthews downtime he enjoys keeping fit, whether that will be taking long walks and hikes or pushing himself to a Pilates class. He also has a true passion for cooking and baking, often experimenting with new recipes and flavors.

Born and raised in South Africa, Joel later chose to move to Portugal to connect more deeply with his roots and explore the culture and lifestyle of his parents’ homeland. Though new to the yachting industry, Joel has fully committed himself to this career path, eager to grow and learn. His enthusiasm for the role is evident in his dedication to absorbing knowledge from more experienced crew members. After a successful two season aboard M/Y BINA as a deckhand, Joel was thrilled to return for another season as Bosun, a testament to both his passion and dedication while creating a positive atmosphere on board. Joel brings a creative and dynamic background to the team. With experience in music, videography, photography, event planning, and passion for DJing he is a very valuable member of the crew. In his free time, he embraces travel, meditation, and a healthy lifestyle. His recent discovery of Indonesia has quickly made it his favorite destination. Known for his outgoing personality, great sense of humor, and natural ability to connect with people, Joel is a favorite among guests. He’s always the first to encourage water activities and enthusiastically joins in, making every experience more enjoyable for everyone.

Joel Cruz

Connor is originally from Glasgow in Bonnie Scotland and brings a strong maritime and engineering background to the team. He began his career at sea, completing a commercial cadetship where he sailed on 300m vessels. As well as gaining knowledge within the oil and chemical industry he has obtained his officer of the watch ticket. Transitioning shoreside, Connor worked as a Mechanical Fitter at BAE Systems, where he applied his technical expertise to the construction of advanced naval warships. Connor is a new addition to the M/Y BINA team and joins us as our new Chief Engineer. Connor has a great passion for sport, playing semi-professional football for Dalry FC in the West of Scotland Football League Division 3. He also has a great interest for travel and enjoys exploring cultural destinations around the world, often paired with the occasional shopping spree. In his spare time, he focuses on maintaining a high level of fitness through hybrid training, combining weightlifting and running to stay in peak condition. He’s a cheeky chap with a strong accent and enjoys getting involved in as much as he can.

Conner McGhee

Ryan is originally from Manchester, England, and has lived all over the country, from charming coastal towns to the hustle of big city life. He began his yachting career in 2021 after completing his training in Cowes, Isle of Wight. Starting out as a deckhand on a 68m catamaran, he later spent three years aboard a 77m vessel, where he transitioned into a steward role and discovered his true passion for the interior department. He is excited to enter his 2nd year onboard M/Y BINA, Ryan brings his love for travel, nature, and exploring different cultures. Whether it’s hiking through England’s stunning landscapes or chasing waterfalls, he’s always up for an adventure. In his downtime, Ryan enjoys swimming, reading, horse riding, hiking, and socializing. He’s also a big fan of Starbucks coffee and can’t resist a good shopping spree at Zara.

Sean grew up in a small town called Jeffreys Bay on the southeast coast of South Africa. Living near the sea nurtured his love for the water, and he enjoyed all kinds of water sports—from fishing and diving to surfing and surf lifesaving. These were also great excuses to escape his daily household chores. At the age of 18, Sean decided to follow his passion for the sea. He was fortunate to work on a yacht that hosts scientific expeditions in some of the world’s most remote locations. Over the years, he has gained experience working on busy private and charter yachts, and he’s always happy and ready to assist guests with any needs or activities. Sean’s main hobby is fishing, but when the weather doesn’t cooperate, he also enjoys golf, diving, and watching rugby or just about any sport.

Paula grew up in a small town in eastern Poland. She graduated with a degree in Economics and went on to earn a Master’s in Management. Following her studies, she began her professional career as an accountant. However, after spending two years in the South of France, she was inspired to pursue a new path and entered the yachting industry in 2017. Since then, Paula has worked on both private and charter vessels, often venturing far off the beaten path to some of the most remote corners of the world—including Antarctica. She is passionate about creating unforgettable experiences for guests, always striving to deliver exceptional service and ensuring their every need is met. In her free time, Paula enjoys exploring new destinations—both on land and beneath the waves, as an enthusiastic diver. Mountain climbing and cycling are her greatest passions, allowing her to connect with nature and challenge herself physically and mentally. Paula is excited to continue into her second year full of Adventures on M/Y BINA.

A three-time winner at the prestigious Antigua Charter Yacht Show Chef Competition, Joost brings not only talent and technique but also creativity and a deep love for food to every galley he steps into. Trained in classic French and Italian cuisine, as well as skilled in fusion cooking, Joost has developed a refined and versatile approach in the kitchen. He places strong emphasis on fresh, seasonal ingredients, herbs, and spices—always prepared with the utmost attention to quality. A true believer in the power of flavour, he considers sauces a key to adding astonishing depth and variety to every dish. Having worked in the restaurant, hotel, and yacht industry for many years, Joost’s career has taken him across the globe, giving him a broad perspective on ingredients, cultures, and culinary traditions. Whether it’s a casual crew meal or an elegant guest dinner, he tailors each menu to suit the preferences, setting, and occasion—bringing comfort and innovation to the table with equal ease. Beyond the kitchen, Joost brings integrity, creativity, and a strong work ethic rooted in honesty and loyalty. Daniela was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela, where she lives with her family and beloved dog, Bongo. In 202. She took a bold step when her fiancé, who works as a yacht chef, introduced her to an opportunity onboard a 77m yacht. Coming from an office background, she decided to embrace the challenge, and quickly discovered a genuine satisfaction in cleaning, organising, and adapting to the sea life. It has been an exciting shift from an office job to a 77m yacht with multinational crew. Daniela is now excited to return for her second season full of new adventure and challenged onboard M/Y BINA, she brings her passion for travel, languages, food and cultural exchange from around the world. In her spare time, she enjoys roller skating, drawing, and listening to music. She is also a karaoke lover, especially fond of 90s and 2000s pop,80s disco, and rock from the 80s, 90s, and 2000s. shopping and exploring new places are also among her favourite hobbies.
