Tom grew up in Stratford-Upon-Avon, one of the UK's furthest towns from the sea. After sailing around the Caribbean with his family, he followed his passion for the water to Plymouth University to study navigation and Maritime Science. After a few years of studying and training with P&O ferries, he jumped onboard super yachts and never looked back. When Tom isn't on CC~Summer, you can find him on the golf course, the rugby pitch, or snowboarding down a mountain in the Alps.

Born and raised in the United Kingdom, Ben began his maritime career as a deckhand on various yachts. Ben completed his three-year cadetship and holds his Merchant Navy license and Officer of the Watch ticket. In the future, Ben would like to progress to become a captain. Growing up, Ben played rugby, which is evident in his interest in fitness and health. At 19, Ben went to the French Alps for two winters as a chalet host, snowboarding and cooking. He studied languages at university and enjoys speaking French. In his free time, you’ll catch Ben with a mic in his hand singing karaoke.

Melissa was born in Johannesburg and grew up in Durban, South Africa. Melissa started working in the hospitality industry, in hotels and then on cruise ships. It was there that she pursued her passion and pursued a career in yachting. She has worked on different boats since 2015 while doing shore-based courses to complete her Chief Mate 3000. During her free time, she enjoys doing adventurous things like diving and hiking, and she has recently taken up kite surfing.

Nicolas, AKA Nick, is 30 years old and from a small island in New Zealand called Waiheke Island. Nick has been in the yachting industry for almost 4 years, and before this, he completed a bachelor's in physical education at Otago University. Sailing from Tonga to New Zealand as part of a 3-man crew influenced him to pursue a career in the maritime industry. Nick enjoys traveling to new countries and experiencing different cultures when he is not working on yachts. Nick is also very into tennis, rugby, and basketball.

Matthew is from the beautiful Gold Coast in Australia. Growing up embraced by the ocean’s beauty, his life naturally steered toward a maritime career. Matthew treasures moments spent with loved ones, diving into the depths of the sea, hiking through uncharted terrains, and discovering new places. Matthew has over 5 years of experience on a variety of yachts, and he hopes to build a lasting and successful career within the industry.

Maddy was born and raised in Colorado Springs, United States. After school, she studied Anthropology and Physiology at the University of Colorado Boulder. Travel has always been a priority for Maddy; growing up, she lived across five continents. Maddy has her PADI Open Water Instructor license and is also an avid free diver. She would be happy to accompany guests on a day of diving adventures. Life Before Boats saw Maddie working in a marketing and design company. In her free time, Maddie enjoys skiing down the slopes.

Sophie is from Wales (the place with more sheep than people). Before her time at sea, she lived and worked in some beautiful places around the world, such as Australia, Ibiza, and the French Alps. Sophie is passionate about service and creating guest experiences, from cocktails to all forms of decor. Her favorite part of yachting is working with a diverse range of people who become like family over time. Her favorite hobby is keeping fit and active, from hiking in the Welsh mountains to taking beach yoga classes in the summer.

Alice joins CC~Summer from the United Kingdom. Having spent 3 years training and working in the UK as a hairdresser and stylist, Alice joined the yachting industry almost 4 years ago. Since then, she has worked on yachts such as Flying Fox, Moonrise, and Mogambo. She enjoys socializing with fellow crew and wine tastings in her free time.
