My name is Marco and I have spent most of my life at sea working on cruise ships as a OOW until reaching the rank of Chief Mate. I like working in a team and visiting new places. From this year I started working in the yachting industry which I have always loved. My target is to become captain on luxury yachts.

I have a lot of experience in Charter management gained with clients of all nationalities and a high level of competence in yacht maintenance. I managed important ship refitting that involved hull extensions, engine overhauls, complete yacht paints, total interior
refitting, etc.

I was born in Portoferraio on the Island of Elba, I can therefore say that I was born in the middle of the Sea. Immediately when I finished my studies in Food and Wine High School I moved to London where I worked for more or less 1 year in one restaurant in Soho. There I improved my English and and I put the teachings into practice about how to manage customers and work in a team. Back to Italy I try to combine the work and the place I like so I did my first season as a Stewardess on a ship called 61 metres M/Y Saramour , sailing in the Mediterranean Sea, where I learned how to treat guests on board, how to tidying up cabins and how to make a personalized services for the shipowner and his family. When I returned to the mainland for two years to work in a Wine Estate in Tuscany as a Wine Salesperson, I also was the manager of cash desk and supplies. I was wondering the sea so I came back for summer season 2020 on the 61 metres M/Y Saramour as a Stewardess, still sailing in the Mediterranean Sea, I have further improved my ability to accommodate and satisfy the needs of guests on board to make their stay as pleasant as possible.
