Marc joins us from Switzerland where he completed an apprenticeship in electronics. With an early interest in yachts and sailing, he worked one season as a sail instructor on the lakes before he completed his Yachtmaster and started working as a deckhand. In his free time, Marc enjoys exploring new places, cycling and motorcycling as well as being up in the mountains.

Roderick is our laundry master from the Philippines. He joined the yachting industry in 2009 hence why we call him the master. He has been working onboard Cocoa Bean since 2019. When he is not taking the best care of our laundry he enjoys running and sightseeing.

Shiyam was born in Sri Lanka but grew up in Denmark from a very young age. He comes from a family of fisherman and boatbuilders and has thus inherited his passion for the ocean. He made the decision to swap grill plates and steak cuts in the kitchen to tools and big machines in the engine room and has found a way to combine his dedication for technical work and his passion.

Ben originates from Belgium but found his passion for cooking at LouisXV in Monaco, working for the Michelin star chef, Alain Ducasse at the age of 18. Ben travelled and worked in many restaurants around Europe before working in villas as a private chef. In 2015, he then joined the yachting industry and has been cooking at sea ever since.

Jack is a keen sports person and regularly plays football and rugby. He enjoys outdoor activities such as kayaking, hiking and SUP. Experiencing new countries and cultures is something Jack really enjoys. He has recently obtained his Yacht Master Offshore and is looking forward to his new adventure on Cocoa Bean.

James crew up in the pretty coastal village of West Wittering in the South of England. He was extremely active in water sports such as sailing, surfing and even represented his country in Windsurfing and Stand-Up Paddle boarding. Having spent summers being a lifeguard on his local beach and between studies, he knew wanted to pursue a long term career on the sea. James joined the industry in 2021 and spent the winter months improving his kitesurfing before joining the Cocoa Bean team.

Ben grew up in the coastal in the coastal town of Poole in Dorset, which gave him a love for water at an early age. Alongside his friendly character, Ben is also a keen sportsman, with a particular love of rugby.
Having recently finished Business Studies at college, he decided to pursue his dream of a career in the yachting industry. Ben is keen and ready for the new adventure that lie ahead and to progress in his new career.

Steven grew up in a small town close to the coast in the North East of England. From a young age he has had a love for the ocean which has lead him to a career in yachting. He has been in the yachting industry for over 9 years starting as a deck hand working his way up on different size yachts to obtain his Chief Officer License. Steve is the Navigational Officer on board and will deliver you to your desired destination.

Tim’s home town is in the heart of the Cheshire countryside of Northern England. Tim started yachting in 2012 and has recently achieved his Officer of the Watch certificate. Tim is the Bosun/Dive Instructor and will oversee your enjoyment of watersports and help you safely explore the underwater world.

COCOA BEAN has expansive deck spaces for relaxing, entertaining, dining, sunbathing, cooling down in the jacuzzi and more! With 5 different decks, and each one different to the other in terms of style and usage, there is something for everyone. And, as an extra feature, there is also the fully extended beach club and swim platform.
Entertaining 12 guests, there is formal dining around a large circular table on the main deck, whilst the bridge deck sunlounge offers relaxed seating and a bar. On the upper deck, guests are free to take advantage of the gym or relax in the unique observation lounge, offering 180 degree panoramic views. Accommodation is made up of a Master Suite, with separate office, lounge, cabin and bathroom on the main deck and on the lower deck, a large VIP Suite, 2 Double and 2 Twin cabins, all with ensuites.
Access to all decks is available via the central staircase which circles around a lift.
During winter 2019-2020, COCOA BEAN is carrying out her 5 year survey and also a complete repaint so she will look like new for the 2020 summer season!
