For the past five years, Cody has immersed himself in the world of yachting, finding immense fulfilment in the journey. Tania was born in the small town of Melitopol, Ukraine. At 18, she embarked on a cruise ship, becoming the youngest crew member. This early start in the maritime industry taught her a lot about discipline and the value of hard work. Her career took a significant turn when, in 2018, she attended the Butler-Valet School in Oxfordshire. This experience deepened her understanding of high-quality service and English culture. Passionate about interior design, floristry, and sketching, these hobbies have enhanced Tania’s professional skills, especially in creating beautiful flower arrangements. With over 13 years in the superyacht industry, her expert eye for detail, her kindness, and professionalism in managing the expectations of the most demanding guests are an exceptional asset for EMERALD.

Ben is a marine engineer with a military background. He gained experience on a range of seagoing vessels, including warships, container ships, and cruise liners. Disciplined and organised, he is able to work effectively under pressure while consistently maintaining health and safety standards.
Ben has now decided to put his experience in the yachting world to use, ensuring the smooth running of all systems on board EMERALD. He will also assist on deck with the launching of water toys. His friendly attitude and polite manners will make all our guests feel privileged.

Mark embarked on his journey in marine engineering in his hometown of Plymouth. Starting with an apprenticeship as a marine fitter and turner, he honed his skills and eventually specialised in ship and submarine refit and repair. Furthering his education, Mark pursued a degree in Marine Technology at the University of Plymouth. Over the past two decades, he has held the prestigious role of Chief Engineer on various yachts. Beyond his professional pursuits, Mark finds joy in tinkering with a variety of aging vehicles, cherishing fatherhood, and indulging in his passion for playing the guitar, albeit with questionable skill.

Katie was born in Scotland but grew up on the southwest coast of England. Since a young age, she has been sailing dinghies and sailboats with her grandad, who instilled in her a passion for the sea. After obtaining a degree in Chemistry at Bristol University, Katie decided to pursue her passion and started her new life in the yachting industry. Despite her young age, Katie has already gained experience on megayachts up to 73m. Her motivation, dedication, smile, and friendly attitude will make any guest feel comfortable and relaxed on board EMERALD.

Michael has an exceptional Michelin star cooking background; he has honed his skills in some of the world’s top establishments and hotels, including the 3-star restaurant, Maaemo, in Oslo, Norway. Working internationally on superyachts, UHNWI private residences, and 5-star luxury ski chalets around the globe has significantly influenced his cuisine and his pursuit of perfection. In the earlier stages of his career, Michael also competed in MasterChef ‘’The Professionals 2012’’ where he secured a semi-finalist position. Most recently, he won the Superyacht Chef of the Year in Barcelona at the MYBA International Charter Show! Onboard EMERALD, Michael will take pride and dedication in creating bespoke and fine dining experiences, and will also happily adapt to more casual and simple requests. Calm, polite, and respectful, he loves getting to know his guests to discuss their preferences and to deliver an exceptional culinary experience. Michael is able to excel in any cooking style, from Asian to Mediterranean, traditional French and Italian to Nordic and Latin American.

With aspirations rooted in his deep connection to the ocean and his experience in the yachting industry, he harbours dreams of establishing his own coastal business, leveraging his expertise and love for the sea.

Born and raised in Melbourne, Australia, David soon realised after family vacations to the United States that what he really wanted to do was to explore the world. Upon finishing university, he moved to London and travelled extensively through Australia, Europe and the Americas. He then sought a new challenge and embarked on a yachting career. For the past 12 years he’s sailed all corners of the Mediterranean, as well as the Caribbean, through the Suez Canal and the Red Sea to the Maldives and Southeast Asia. An avid sports and outdoor enthusiast, he finds joy in football, cricket, tennis, snowboarding, hiking, and underwater exploration through scuba diving. However, these days, most of his time is devoted to his two young sons.
