After leaving Romania, Elena began her culinary career in Italy, working at a variety of restaurants where she honed her skills and developed a deep understanding of Italian cuisine. Over time, she mastered the traditions of the region and built an ever-growing repertoire of dishes.
In 2005, Elena transitioned into the yachting industry, joining her first yacht as a chef. Since then, she has worked aboard numerous vessels across the Mediterranean and Caribbean, gaining over 16 years of experience in high-end yacht galleys. She takes great pride in her ability to prepare a wide range of cuisines, including vegetarian dishes, always using fresh, locally sourced ingredients wherever possible.
Elena is passionate about her craft and can often be found at local markets early in the morning, selecting the best produce for her guests. She is also a talented pastry chef who enjoys creating everything from scratch in her own galley.
Outside of work, Elena loves spending time in nature and exploring new places on the back of a Harley with her husband, Captain Henrik. Family time is also very important to her, and she cherishes any opportunity to be with her loved ones.
