Ethan Gillman, born and raised in Cape town is a young man who’s chosen to build a career in the yachting industry due to his passion for the ocean fostered through years of surfing along the coast of South Africa, where he developed he’s easy going demeanour, humility and respect for the environment.
Growing up spending majority of his time in the sea, Ethan was eager to explore the ocean from a different perspective, sailing 3000+ nautical miles along the wild coast of his home country he achieved this goal, which led him to pursue a career in the yachting industry.
Although Ethan is still a young man, he’s years of experience in water sports both in and on top of the ocean make him an exceptionally level headed, driven and intelligent seafarer, providing guests with a sense of safety, positivity and nostalgia.

Captain Jacques “Jay” Beukman brings a wealth of experience to Kora, having spent six years in the yachting industry working on both private and charter yachts. His extensive background in vessel operations, guest experience, and watersports management makes him a highly capable and dynamic leader.
Originally from Cape Town, Jacques grew up surrounded by the ocean, developing a lifelong passion for boats and fishing. In addition to his yachting career, he owns and operates a highly successful fishing charter business in South Africa, where he shares his expertise and love for the sport with others. His knowledge of the water, combined with his enthusiasm and hands-on approach, ensures an exceptional experience for both guests and crew.

Reza Maritz is an experienced Chief Stewardess with six years in the yachting industry and a strong background in hospitality. She has worked on both private and charter vessels, ensuring seamless interior operations with a strong focus on guest satisfaction and organization.
Reza takes pride in delivering an exceptional guest experience, always striving to create a welcoming and comfortable environment on board. With a keen eye for detail and a hands-on approach, she ensures every aspect of the interior runs smoothly.
Growing up by the ocean, she enjoys a laid-back beach lifestyle and sunny weather, making the most of her time outdoors. With a love for adventure, she spends her free time swimming in the ocean, hiking, exercising, and trying new activities.

Chef Daniel Moreira hails from the charming town of Southbroom in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, where his passion for food was born in a family kitchen filled with laughter and shared moments. Those early memories continue to inspire the warmth and joy he brings to every dish.
His culinary journey has taken him to remarkable destinations, including the Maldives, where he refined his skills and explored a world of global flavors. Now in his fifth year in the yachting industry, Chef Daniel crafts vibrant and flavorful meals for both private and charter guests aboard M/Y Kora.
Specializing in seafood, his cooking reflects a deep love for the ocean and a belief that food is a celebration—an opportunity to bring people together. When he's not creating in the galley, he’s often found free diving or catching waves. With an infectious enthusiasm for cooking and a genuine desire to make every guest feel special, Chef Daniel ensures that dining aboard Kora is more than a meal—it’s a warm, memorable culinary experience.
Daniel has experience as a solo Chef in the mediterranean as well as experience as Sous Chef at the Kuredu Resort in the Maldives, grilling delectable seafood BBQs on the beach, further honing his skills. He hold all necessary certificates, including STCW, Eng1, and chef certifications, and has completed an advanced cooking course. Outside of his profession Daniel loves surfing, fishing, free diving and any activity that involves being out side in the water.
