Harry was born in New Zealand but grew up by the sea in the UK. As a young adult,
Harry played any sport he could until finding his passion in sailing. He joined the
yachting industry at 18 straight after graduating from school and has never looked
back. With a strong commitment to the maritime industry, he is now studying for a
degree in Sustainable Maritime Operations in his free time. Harry loves to challenge
himself, creating adventures for himself both in work and outside of it - most recently
having competed in an endurance sporting event. When he is not on board, he spends
a lot of time travelling with his wife, fitness training and enjoying his down time back at
home.

Tiaan grew up just outside the city of Cape Town, South Africa. Before joining the
yachting industry, he studied at Stellenbosch University and played a lot of sports. He
lived in the United States for 2 years playing rugby before deciding he would rather
pursue a career at sea. His hobbies are diving, golf, hunting and producing music. He
has also recently started a tourism business in South Africa and is hoping to merge the
travel experience gained in yachting to help expand his company. He loves to travel
and experience new cultures, and after 3 years of sailing he looks forward to what is
still to come in his career.
Tiaan Kellerman
Deckhand
Fred hails from Devon, UK. Having grown up in a coastal town, Fred learnt to work
with boats and drive tenders from a young age, which gained him a strong interest
for the maritime industry. As an avid water sports fan, he particularly likes to kite surf
and go spear fishing. Over the past 10 years, Fred has been working on Private and
Charter vessels respectively, traveling extensively around the world and gaining sea
miles and experience. For a portion of his career at sea, Fred has been fortunate
enough to cruise the remote and interesting locations of the South Pacific, Indonesia,
Thailand, and Papua New Guinea. Fred seeks to maintain a safe, professional, and
enjoyable environment onboard for all guests and crew.
Fred Barton
First Officer
Tom was born in Merseyside, UK and continues to live there with his partner. Prior
to joining the yachting industry, he had a shore-based career in IT for 10 years. He
previously worked in software engineering and for various companies that specialized
in cyber security. Tom joined the yachting industry 5 years ago to enable him to
experience a different side of working in IT. Tom thoroughly enjoys playing and
watching football in his spare time, and his main interests include being outside in
nature and eating his favourite foods. He is also looking forward to becoming a father
later this year in October when he will welcome into his life a baby girl.
Thomas Sanguinetti
Electro-Technical Officer (ETO)
Born in Liverpool and raised in Scotland, Steven began his career at sea at the age of 17. Joining his first ship in Japan, he has been fortunate to explore all corners of the globe. After spending 18 years working on tankers, cruise ships, and container ships, he transitioned to the yachting industry. A career highlight for Steven was his involvement in a five-year Global Reef Expedition. Hosting multinational science teams, they completed over 20 month-long oceanographic expeditions in destinations such as French Polynesia, the Galápagos, Palau, and the Great Barrier Reef. Through this project, he successfully mapped over 65,000 square kilometres of some of the world’s most remote coral reefs.
Steven is married with two daughters and now lives with his family in Ireland. In his spare time, he enjoys diving, tennis, and snowboarding.
Steven Breen

Sara grew up in sunny California where she was lucky enough to be surrounded
by the ocean, mountains, and desert. This is where she first developed her passion
for exploring and she spent most of her childhood at the beach surfing or playing
soccer. Having a Slovakian Mother means she also spent plenty of time in Europe,
which ultimately drove her decision of moving to Barcelona to go to university to study
Global Studies. Lady Lara is her first job in yachting after leaving university last year
- learning and pursuing this industry has combined two of her greatest passions, the
sea and travel. She is very excited for the upcoming season and looking forward to
learning the ropes.
Sara Lodes

Freddie was born and grew up in Zimbabwe with his parents and two sisters. After
completing school and university in South Africa, he went and joined the yachting
industry. 4 years and many adventures later, he has ended up here on Lady Lara as
3rd engineer. He has a great interest in sports, such as kitesurfing, and further hobbies
include nature photography and motorbike riding and rebuilding.

Maria was born and raised in Slovakia. After completing her Masters in Marketing and Management, she worked and travelled extensively throughout the United States before relocating to London. Landing her first superyacht job in 2011, Maria has since circumnavigated the globe and explored destinations such as Scandinavia, Galapagos, South Pacific, Caribbean, Australasia, and the Mediterranean Sea. With 13 years of experience in luxury yacht service and 10 years as a Purser, she possesses a profound love of travel and a natural talent for destination management. Maria dedicates her energy to researching local entertainment and organizing activities for our guests, with a primary focus on ensuring they have an unforgettable experience. Dedicated to living and promoting a healthy lifestyle through diet, exercise, and running, Maria spends her free time training for and running marathons around the world, driven by her competitive spirit.
Maria Karabova
Purser
Max was born in Bahrain to English parents but spent the majority of his early
years on the south coast of England. Growing up in forests and on the fields
playing football and rugby he always wanted to pursue an outdoor lifestyle.
His ambitions of becoming an architect through school and college changed
when he decided to seek out a more adventurous career. Max entered
yachting in 2018 and has been on Lady Lara since 2019. The highlight of his
time onboard Lady Lara so far is anchoring off Manhattan in New York.

Alexandra was born in Cambridge, UK, where she grew up enjoying the great
British countryside. With having a passion for creativity and the arts she first
started her career as an actor, living and working in London. Having worked
in many elaborate bars and restaurants throughout this time Alexandra
decided to hone in her skills she had learnt along with her creativity and take
to the seas as a stewardess at the end of 2020. Having also a keen love for
travel and to meet new people the career change was the perfect move, and
she has never looked back. Alexandra loves making cocktails and showcasing
her coffee art skills, she takes pride in her work always when working and is
proud to present excellent guest service.
