Stephanie, a South African native, is an accomplished Deck/Stew with a deep-rooted passion for hospitality and engineering. Her journey into yachting followed a successful stint in Additive Manufacturing, where she excelled as a strategic business development manager.
Stephanie holds a BA in Marketing and Psychology from California University of PA, USA, and boasts extensive maritime experience, including roles as Deckhand on Lamouche and Deck/Stew on Vitalia II. She is a certified Yachtmaster Offshore, showcasing her proficiency in navigation and maritime operations.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Stephanie is a competitive golfer who earned a full scholarship to the United States at age 18. She finds joy in yoga, snow sports, and exploring on motorbike trips. Knysna, South Africa, holds a special place in her heart as her favourite destination.
Currently serving aboard a high-performance carbon sailing catamaran, Stephanie relishes the challenges and thrills of sailing, alongside her passion for learning from different departments.

Thomas, an English-Irish sailor, has navigated some of the world’s most stunning cruising grounds, including the Caribbean, Pacific, and East Coast of America. His sailing journey began early, becoming a Yacht-master Instructor at just 19.

As a Canadian First Mate and Chief Officer, Robin brings a wealth of maritime expertise and passion for adventure to luxury yachts. With a BSc in Oceanography and Chemistry from Dalhousie University, Robin transitioned from marine research with dolphins and seals to yachting, serving as Bosun on Pink Gin and Prana. Robin excels in navigation and vessel management.
Off-duty, Robin thrives on kitesurfing, diving, yoga, and crossword puzzles. Some of her most memorable adventures include sailing across the Bay of Bengal and navigating the Suez Canal. She finds joy in discovering new places by sea, embodying a commitment to excellence and a deep love for the ocean.

First Officer
Thomas attended Abraham Derby school, in Telford.He speaks English as his native tongue and is currently studying Spanish. Thomas joined the Royal Navy as an engineer on nuclear submarines, they completed a very rewarding East of Suez patrol on HMS Sceptre, he was then promoted and specialised in Electrical maintenance and repair and joined HMS Astute for the commissioning trials in the USA, upon leaving the Navy after 6 ½ years, Thomas worked for Transport for London as a white collar engineer on the Metropolitan line before moving to Eurostar supporting Siemens with the new fleet he joined yachting in 2019.
Thomas has predominantly served on sail yachts of 35+ metres in his yachting career, the highlight of which was taking Blue Papillon across the Atlantic and experiencing the Caribbean for the first time.
Before coming to Mystere, he had a period of freelancing which took him on Bystander, Squall and Wisp.
He holds both an Apprenticeship and Advanced Apprenticeship in marine engineering and runs with an MEOL ticket currently progressing to the next, Small Vessel 2nd Engineer.
Thomas’ favourite place in the world is Ha Long Bay, Vietman, the raw beauty is extraordinary.Being an engineer, he has a classic Mini which is almost finished a full refurbishment, he has discovered a love of travelling and he is a keen hiker and cook.His biggest adventure so far was a solo 6-week trip around South Africa, with a week in Lesotho on horseback.
Thomas thoroughly enjoys working on Mystere, she’s a beautiful boat and he’s looking forward to his first summer making memories with a really cool crew.

Bringing 15 years of experience in haute cuisine from top restaurants and country clubs, Wesley trained under a French Master chef for five years. A South African culinary specialist, Wesley has showcased his skills at prestigious venues like Nantucket Golf Club and Ernie Els Vineyards. He holds a City & Guilds Diploma in Professional Cookery and speaks English, Afrikaans, and Zulu fluently.
Wesley’s culinary repertoire includes Mediterranean, French, Indian, and Asian cuisines, complemented by awards like Best Bistro Restaurant in South Africa. His passion extends to yachting with Mystere and interests in foraging, mountain biking, diving, and football. Wesley treasures Nantucket’s Moors and cherishes creating exceptional dining experiences for owners and guests—a testament to his dedication to haute cuisine and hospitality
