Hailing from Spain, Marcela Díaz has built a solid foundation in the yachting world over the past four seasons, working both as a stewardess and deckhand aboard private and charter yachts.

Marcela and Maika know each other from previous yachts and the yachting community here in Mallorca, so they were no strangers to each other and she was delighted to be asked to come and continue working with Rafa on NAILU+.

With her sailing certifications — including the Spanish PPER and the Port Skipper license — she brings a strong nautical background to the team. Having spent over 21 years surfing, Marcela has a deep connection to the sea and handles life on board with confidence and ease.
Known for her approachable nature and strong interpersonal skills, she combines professionalism with a warm and attentive presence, ensuring guests feel both welcome and well looked after.

Marcela speaks Spanish, English, French, and Italian.

Patricia is a passionate and highly adaptable yacht chef with strong experience in luxury yacht charters throughout the Mediterranean. Having worked extensively across the Balearics and on a variety of vessels for the last 8 years, she is well-versed in the fast-paced demands of high-end charter operations and consistently delivers exceptional culinary experiences for guests.

Her cuisine is best described as creative Mediterranean with a modern fusion twist, combining fresh, locally sourced ingredients with international influences. Patricia is particularly attentive to guest preferences and dietary requirements, ensuring every meal is tailored, beautifully presented, and memorable.

With a background that also includes reputable hospitality venues such as beach clubs and international restaurants, she brings both versatility and a refined service mindset on board. Known for her strong organisation, clean work ethic, and calm approach during busy charter periods, Patricia is a reliable and positive presence within any crew dynamic.

Fully certified (STCW, medical, seaman’s book) and fluent in Spanish and English, Patricia is an excellent addition to NAILU+, enhancing the onboard experience with her creativity, professionalism, and warm personality.

Carlos brings extensive engineering and deck experience to NAILU+, combining strong technical knowledge with a hardworking and team-oriented attitude.

Originally from Honduras and now based in Premià de Mar, Barcelona, he has built his career across cruise ships, commercial vessels, and private yachts.

Throughout his career, Carlos has worked as a Motorman, Fitter, Engine Repairman and most recently stepped into the role of Chief Engineer on a 29m Astondia APOLLO II in the Balearic Islands. His background in both large cruise operations and private yachting has given him a solid understanding of onboard procedures, safety standards, and the importance of teamwork in fast-paced maritime environments. Carlos has worked with Captain Rafael onboard APOLLO II where he has proven his hard work and pragmatic can-do attitude and he was very happy to have been chosen to work alongside him again onboard NAILU+.

He is a practical, hands-on professional who enjoys maintaining equipment to the highest standards and supporting smooth daily operations onboard. Calm under pressure and highly reliable, Carlos integrates well within multicultural crews and is always willing to assist wherever needed, whether supporting the deck team or the engine room.

Outside of work, Carlos enjoys staying active and spending time outdoors. He has a passion for fitness, football, and swimming, and values time with family and friends. His positive mindset, strong work ethic, and approachable personality make him a valued member of the NAILU+ crew.

He speaks Spanish fluently and has an intermediate level of English.

Born and raised in Spain, Captain Rafael Párraga developed a deep connection to the sea from an early age. He began sailing Optimist dinghies as a child and soon expanded his passion to windsurfing and classic sailing before transitioning into motor yachts. With over 15 years of professional experience, Rafael has built a strong reputation as a reliable, knowledgeable, and versatile captain.

His background in classic sailing has shaped his calm leadership style and strong sense of seamanship, combining traditional maritime values with modern yacht operations. Passionate about the ocean and nature, Rafael has spent most of his life living close to the coast and brings this deep respect for the sea into every charter he undertakes.

Throughout his career, Rafael has built long-standing professional relationships within the industry. In 2022, while captaining APOLLO II, he began working closely with several crew members who later reunited with him on future projects, such as the previous owner's new vessel called MY SONRISA.

End of 2023 he was approached by the owner of NAILU+ who offered him the opportunity to take command of the vessel. Rafael joined the project and later became involved in the new-build program, assembling a trusted crew who already shared a strong working relationship bringing with him Marcela, Maika and Carlos.

Himself and the crew have been cruising the islands all those years and know the area like the back of his pocket.

Fluent in Spanish, English, and Italian, Rafael communicates easily with both guests and crew, creating a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere on board. His professionalism, natural leadership, and passion for the sea ensure smooth operations and memorable experiences for everyone on board.

Outside of his professional duties, Rafael enjoys immersing himself in the natural world, reflecting his adventurous spirit and love for the outdoors.

Originally from Spain, Maika Delgado began her maritime career in 2018 working as a photographer on cruise ships, where she developed a strong foundation in guest interaction and hospitality. Her passion for the sea and service soon led her into the yachting industry, where she has since built valuable experience as a Chief Stewardess, occasionally assisting on deck when required.

Maika has worked alongside Captain Rafa since their time onboard APOLLO II, where several members of the current team first collaborated. Their strong professional relationship continued as the owner expanded the fleet, with the team operating closely with SONRISA and eventually coming together again for the NAILU+ project. Having worked together for several years, this established crew dynamic creates a smooth, well-coordinated onboard atmosphere that guests immediately notice and appreciate.

Energetic, organised, and highly attentive to detail, Maika takes great pride in delivering exceptional service while creating a warm and relaxed environment for guests. Her ability to anticipate needs and maintain impeccable interior standards ensures that every charter runs seamlessly.

A certified massage therapist and enthusiastic water sports lover, Maika adds an extra dimension to the guest experience, always happy to help guests unwind or enjoy the sea to the fullest.

Maika speaks Spanish, English, and Italian fluently, with a good knowledge of French, allowing her to communicate easily with international guests and crew.
