Maksi was born and raised in Varna. He is a second-generation Marine Engineer who graduated Naval High School with profile Electrical Engineering, followed by Bachelors Degree in the Naval Academy “N.Vaptsarov” . His other great passion are motorsports, and he regularly participates in amateur competitions.
What do you think is the best feature of the yacht you work on now?
Absolutely, has got to be the crew!
How did you get into the yachting industry?
I decided to take this career path as I grew up watching my Father in this industry, who was also working as an engineer. We spent many years working alongside each other as chief and second engineer. Today we work as rotational chief engineers onboard TALISMAN MAITON.

Max comes from the UK and has long had a passion for the water, having spent many of his childhood summer holidays sailing. After studying Engineering and Business Studies at college, Max went on to complete his yacht master sailing qualification with the UKSA. His first stint onboard TALISMAN MAITON was in 2020 to help with vessel while still in the shipyard.
What skill are you best at teaching guests?
Jetskiing because I've had plenty of experience and enjoy helping guests feel confident and safe. I find it very rewarding seeing them improve and have fun on the water. When they are feeling more confident I am able to teach them tricks which creates unforgettable memories.
How do you reassure people who are nervous about swimming/getting in and out of tenders etc?
If a guest is nervous about getting in the water, I would reassure them by calmly explaining the safety measures in place, ensuring they have the right gear, and offering to guide them step-by-step to build their confidence.

My family and friends often describe me as someone they can always count on, someone who works hard and stays grounded no matter what.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
I enjoy the sense of responsibility and the satisfaction that comes from keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes, knowing that I am keeping everyone comfortable and safe.

What does good service mean to you?
Good service is about creating unforgettable experiences through attention to detail, intuition, and genuine care. It means anticipating guests’ needs before they’re voiced, crafting moments of delight that feel personal and effortless.
What is your favourite interior feature on board?
The gym is a fantastic bonus for a boat of this size. Great for a run or lift at anytime of day. Full-size treadmill, adjustable dumbbells, bands, plenty of mats for your guests and much more.

Martin is of Italian and Irish nationality however his cuisine expertise extends much further. His career in hospitality began in 2012 and adopted early talent working in a Michelin Star restaurant, immersing himself into each role that followed. He has gained a variety of industry experience as a chef, going as far as teaching online cooking videos on authentic Italian cuisine and working on vegetable farms in Australia. Martin took to sea in 2021 and has been the sole chef on three yachts, delivering refined cuisine and seamless service to owners and high-profile clients whilst cruising Africa, Sweden, and the Mediterranean. Highly certified, Martin holds a Professional Chef Diploma and qualifications in Culinary Arts Level 3, Patisserie Level 2 and Confectionary Level 1.

Tibor grew up in a small town just outside Amsterdam, the Netherlands. A graduate of the Rotterdam Maritime Institute, he first fell in love with boating in Australia, where he volunteered on a classic tall ship. When he isn’t on board, you’ll find him hiking and travelling around Europe in his off-grid campervan or working on carpentry projects. Always on the lookout for new adventures, Tibor swaps his hiking boots for ski boots in the wintertime.
What is the best feature on TALISMAN MAITON?
The layout for guests allows for both privacy and great social spaces, creating an ideal environment.
How do you go about making guests feel welcome on board?
I always greet guests with a warm smile and offer to help with anything they might need right away. I also love to share a fact about the yacht or cruising area.

Nicola grew up in a seaside town in Essex, UK. From age 15, she has worked in hospitality whilst completing her studies. After completing her degree in Marketing at Southampton Solent University, she decided to pursue her passion of travel and enrolled to become a flight attendant with British Airways. She spent 5 years travelling the world when she decided to follow her dream of working as a yacht stewardess. Nicci first joined TALISMAN MAITON in the summer of 2022 as a stewardess. Having worked her way up Nicci nows lead our interior team.
What is your favourite cocktail to make?
My absolute favorite cocktail to make is the espresso martini. It’s not only my personal favorite but also ideal for cocktail hour—smooth, perfectly balanced, served in a chilled glass, with just the right hint of caffeine to add an extra spark to the evening.
Why do you think the team aboard your current yacht is different/special?
The longevity, with the majority of crew having been onboard for a minimum of two years. Not only does this mean the crew know the boat well but it also means they get on very well.

When you have kids on board, what is your favourite thing to organise for them?
I would love to organise a perfect outdoor cinema experience so they can watch their favourite movies while the parents can relax.

I love that my job allows me to travel the world and introduces me to some amazing people in some beautiful places.

Definitely the jet skis, as I love racing around on them and feeling like you’re on a rollercoaster.
