Captain Raul is an experienced sailing yacht captain with over a decade of professional yachting experience on both private and charter vessels up to 54 meters. He has experience sailing throughout the Mediterranean, Baltic, Caribbean, New England, as well as extensive engineering knowledge, ensuring a smooth experience for all guests.
He is known for delivering exceptional guest experiences through meticulous passage planning, safe operations, and a strong focus on service and presentation.
Raul is fluent in Spanish and English, and passionate about sailing, travel, and sharing unforgettable experiences at sea. His easy-going personality, strong seamanship, and attention to detail make him an ideal captain for discerning charter guests seeking both adventure and comfort on board ACAIA.

Raul Garcia

Chief Mate Harrison is an energetic and highly capable deck officer with experience on both sailing and motor yachts up to 50 meters. Born in Australia, he brings a strong work ethic, positive leadership style, and a results-driven approach to yacht operations.
Harrison has held roles as Chief Officer, First Mate, Lead Deckhand, and Charter Captain, with experience spanning busy Mediterranean charters, owner operations, regattas, and ocean passages. He is confident overseeing deck operations, navigation and watchkeeping, safety procedures, and tender, chase boat, and dive activities.
Holding RYA Yachtmaster Offshore and Master/OOW 200GT certifications, and qualified as a PADI Scuba Instructor, Harrison combines strong seamanship with an approachable, guest-focused manner. He is also a certified personal trainer, boxing and kickboxing instructor, and rugby coach.
Professional, adaptable, and highly motivated, he is a valuable asset to the team on board ACAIA.

Harrison Hansford
First Mate
Originally from Spain, Sofia is a highly skilled stewardess, with over ten years of experience in the yachting industry. She has extensive experience as a solo stewardess and chief stewardess, confidently managing all aspects of interior service while consistently delivering a high standard of hospitality.
Her yachting career includes serving as a stewardess aboard yachts up to 55 meters, such as S/Y CHRONOS (55m), S/Y TWILIGHT (38m) & S/Y SERENDIPITY (20m) collaborating closely with the crew to ensure smooth operations.
She particularly shines in personalized guest service, cocktail and wine presentation, and creating a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere on board. Her background as a cook/stewardess allows her to seamlessly combine high-quality meal preparation with impeccable interior standards.
Energetic, organized, and always smiling, Sofia is known for her positive attitude and strong work ethic. She is also fluent in Spanish and English, and takes pride in anticipating guests’ needs while maintaining a calm, professional presence at all times. Her attention to detail, efficiency, and warm personality make her an invaluable asset to ACAIA.

With over a decade of experience in the yachting industry, Natalia brings a wealth of international culinary knowledge and a passion for creating memorable dining experiences. Having worked extensively throughout both the Mediterranean and the Caribbean, she has developed a versatile cooking style inspired by the diverse cultures, ingredients, and flavors she has encountered along the way.
Working on both private and charter sailing yachts, she has catered to owners, families, and guests in a variety of settings, from intimate dinners at anchor to back-to-back guest trips and transatlantic crossings. Most recently, she spent time in Japan deepening her understanding of Japanese cuisine through workshops, while her experience in Oaxaca, Mexico, allowed her to immerse herself in traditional Mexican cooking techniques.
Known for her creativity and adaptability, she enjoys blending influences from around the world to create fresh, modern dishes tailored to her guests' preferences. Friendly, hardworking, and highly organized, she is dedicated to delivering exceptional food and warm hospitality onboard ACAIA.
