Oswaldo fell in love with the Ocean during his time in the Mexican Navy. After completing his service, he spent ten years owning and developing a specialist dive center in which he took Mexico’s elite on dive tours around the world. Oswaldo completed his MCA Commercial yacht training in the UK and has been sailing around the world ever since, constantly discovering new waters and completing ocean crossings. He and Chef Briar have been sailing and working together since 2011. Oswaldo’s rich knowledge of the ocean and his witty sense of humour will ensure you have an unforgettable experience onboard ACHENAR.

Like many adventurous Kiwi’s, Briar left New Zealand to travel the world in her early 20’s. This led her to discover a passion for food & cooking. Throughout her years of traveling Briar developed her culinary skills, and after meeting Oswaldo added sailing knowledge to her repertoire. Along with her culinary training in Europe and her on the job experience Briar has development a wide range of culinary styles to constantly deliver excellence for her yachting guests. Briar’s enthusiasm for sailing, food and being a people's person will win you over on your vacation aboard ACHENAR.
