Born in Spartanburg, South Carolina and raised in Cape Town, South Africa, Alexzandria brings a global perspective and soulful approach to her cooking.
She studied Culinary Arts at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale and gained experience in private country clubs in Florida and New York, where she refined her skills in precision and high-end service. After returning to Cape Town, she spent several years consulting for restaurants and working as a private chef throughout the Western Cape. Three years ago, Alexzandria moved into yachting, drawn by the challenge of creating beautiful, thoughtful food in constantly changing environments. Her cooking philosophy focuses on balance — combining health and indulgence, simplicity and elegance. Inspired most by the Mediterranean, she loves working with fresh local produce, seafood, and regional herbs and spices to create vibrant, seasonal menus. Her long-term goal is to develop culinary retreats that merge luxury dining with wellness and mindful living.
Outside the galley, Alexzandria finds inspiration in exploring local markets, discovering new ingredients, and connecting with regional food traditions. She also enjoys hiking and spending time in nature, practices that help her stay centered, creative, and connected to the natural rhythm that influences her cooking.
