He began his yachting journey as a teenager and has since built a dynamic career spanning commercial, private, and charter vessels. His education includes training at top maritime institutes in Honolulu, San Diego, and Portland, along with EMT certification in Hawaii.
Specializing in high-end, long-range expeditions, Shawn is known for crafting unforgettable diving, fishing, and adventure experiences in some of the world’s most remote locations. His cruising résumé includes The Bahamas, Florida Keys, Western Caribbean, Galápagos Islands, US West Coast, and Central America, where he is particularly well-versed in the Pacific coasts of Mexico and Costa Rica.
Having called Cabo San Lucas home for over 20 years, Shawn holds the Sea of Cortez close to his heart and considers it the most breathtaking place on Earth. She’s also stepped up under pressure, seamlessly taking charge of entire interior departments and supporting engineering and deck teams when needed.
