With a thirst for knowledge and an eagerness to take on new challenges, he transitioned to become the master of a sailing yacht after earning his Captain Class A’ Diploma, and spent nearly a decade in that role.
Not just a skilled captain, Vassilis also worked as an Operations Manager for a diverse fleet, overseeing everything from racing yachts to classic sailing boats and offshore motor vessels. His extensive experience in sailing Greece and managing different vessel types has given him a deep understanding of all things nautical, from everyday operations to high-stakes races.

Nikos holds several key certifications, including Ship Security Officer, Life-Saving Appliances, Fire-Fighting, and the Greek Seaman’s Book. He also holds an Engineer Class C certificate, making him well-equipped to tackle various engineering challenges on board.
His career began at Alpha Bulkers, where he worked from 2018 to 2023. He started as a First Engine Trainee/Cadet on bulk carriers before progressing to Second Engine Trainee, Apprentice Engineer, and ultimately 3rd Engineer. His journey continued with Ilmar Shipping Company, where he served as 2nd Engineer on the sailing yacht Almyra II.
Outside of his professional life, Nikos enjoys a variety of activities that reflect his well-rounded character, including painting, cooking, fitness, outdoor adventures, and travelling to explore new cultures. Specializing in Mediterranean and Turkish cuisine, Firat also masterfully incorporates Asian and French influences. His menus reflect his passion for innovation, artistic presentation, and dietary inclusivity, including vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free alternatives. He has served as Sole Chef on charter and private yachts up to 55 meters, catering to both guests and crew with dedication and care.
Trained at the MSA Culinary Art Academy, Firat holds numerous certifications, including STCW, Ship’s Cook Certificate, and Food Hygiene Level 3. A non-smoker and fluent in English and Turkish, he brings both professionalism and a warm, team-oriented personality to every yacht he joins.

A graduate of the Athens University of Economics and Business, Theodoros combines strategic thinking with technical precision. He holds multiple maritime licenses, including sailing, diving, lifeguard, and speedboat certifications, and is passionate about seamanship, leadership, and safety at sea.
