Carl was born and raised in Whangaparāoa, just outside Auckland, New Zealand, where he still lives. He qualified as an engineer in 1989 and spent 10 years working in the automotive and special effects industries.
Carl then embarked on his yachting career and, thanks to his hard work, quick thinking, and helpful nature, was soon promoted to chief engineer. He holds a Y1 – the highest engineering qualification in yachting – as well as a commercial chief engineer ticket. With his extensive experience, Carl can resolve almost any problem on board.
In his spare time, Carl enjoys the great outdoors – dirt biking, camping, watersports, reading, and writing.

Thysie hails from Moorreesburg, South Africa and comes from a close-knit family of four children. Thysie is a strong swimmer and has represented South Africa in the sport. Being naturally comfortable in the water, he subsequently worked for five years in commercial diving.
Thysie joined the yachting industry in 2017, gaining experience on busy charter yachts since then. As a trained lifeguard, scuba diver and personal trainer, he is a great addition to the deck team.
He is always happy to work on a bespoke workout plan for guests during their trips. He will be on deck to always help and keep an eye on the safety of the guests.
Thysie has a plethora of hobbies, mostly water and fitness related. Health and well-being are very important to him. In addition he enjoys travel, reading and music.

Born in Europe and raised in Africa, where his parents were involved in development and humanitarian work, Daniel has lived in eight different countries so far. He holds two higher education degrees in business and sport. After university, Daniel decided to pursue a career in yachting, seeking a lifestyle change – and he’s been hooked ever since.
Daniel has been working in the yachting industry since 2017. He looks forward to continually expanding his knowledge within the field and working towards his Officer of the Watch ticket.
With a degree in sports foundations, Daniel has a strong understanding of health and nutrition. He is very active, with a particular interest in running, trekking, and working out.

Scott is from Kent, England. He has a wealth of experience and has been part of the fleet since 2015. Scott began his career working for a local audio-visual IT company in London, where he was involved in numerous new build and refit projects. The experience he gained there allowed for a smooth transition to life on the high seas.
As AV/IT engineer on board, Scott enjoys introducing new technology as part of his role and ensuring that all equipment operates at optimal performance.
Scott has a real passion for music and a strong interest in sport, particularly football and golf.

Born in England, Rhys grew up on the coast of Poole with his family. Straight out of school, he began a four-year electrician apprenticeship at Sunseeker – a yacht-building company – which sparked his interest in working at sea.
Having been in the yachting industry since the start of his apprenticeship, Rhys has gained a solid level of experience across the board. After completing his studies, he spent a year working for a fleet of tenders before moving on to larger motor yachts, where he developed his knowledge of AV/IT systems and became the go-to person for all tech-related questions, which he handled both happily and helpfully.
In his spare time, Rhys enjoys being on the water – whether kayaking, surfing, or simply going for a dip. He is also an avid BMX rider and holds several national titles, having started competing at the age of four.

Having grown up in and around the Cotswolds, England, Rich studied fine woodwork, craftsmanship, and design. This ultimately led him to his first position in the superyacht industry as a deckhand/carpenter.
Rich has worked on several busy charter and private vessels, gaining valuable knowledge along the way. He has experience cruising in diverse regions, from the Mediterranean and Caribbean to Belize and Qatar.
Rich has been part of the fleet since 2016 and is a highly valued and respected member of the crew. He takes great pride in ensuring guests have an exceptional experience on board, eagerly guiding them through the many enjoyable activities ALVIA has to offer.
When away from the yacht, Rich retreats to Australia, where he enjoys quality time with his partner and children. His passion for sport is evident, as he takes part in nearly every sporting activity.

Mark grew up in a small seaside town on the east coast of Scotland. After leaving school, he travelled around Europe, America, and New Zealand to pursue his passion for snowboarding. This adventure also led him to begin his culinary career in France as a second chef.
Since those early days, Mark has built a 16-year career in gastronomy, combining classic techniques with a creative approach and always striving to make the most of every ingredient.
Mark has been featured in both the Michelin Guide and the Good Food Guide and is excited to showcase his exceptional cuisine to guests.
It comes as no surprise that Mark enjoys eating out and travelling. He is also a fan of football, golf, snowboarding, and a wide variety of music.

Sandeep grew up in the small town of Dehradun, nestled in the mountains of northern India. He studied in his hometown before moving to Kashmir to complete his university education.
Thanks to an opportunity from a childhood friend, he eagerly accepted his first position in the yachting industry and has never looked back. He believes yachting offers the perfect work-life balance – a job and a lifestyle he truly loves.
His culinary skills range from anything Mediterranean to the southeast including his love for Japanese and Thai, if you have a love for spice then be prepared to take the heat with his delicious spicy food. He is also an incredible baker so warm up your tastebuds for some sweet treats whilst on board.
Sandeep is happily married and has two beautiful children at home in India. In his spare time, Sandeep enjoys yoga, trekking and hiking and everything to do with cricket.

Becky hails from Cheshire, England. She is a qualified dental nurse and worked in the UK for five years. Towards the end of her dental nursing career, Becky made the decision to join the yachting industry and has never looked back.
Becky has a cheerful and bubbly personality and is a fantastic asset to the interior team. Over the years, she has pushed herself and progressed into her first chief stewardess role. She has an excellent eye for detail and is highly attentive to guest needs.
In her free time, Becky loves stepping outside her comfort zone and travelling to new countries. We are all lucky to be graced by Becky’s beautiful singing voice – she sings wherever she goes, brightening everyone’s day.

Hannah grew up on the small island of Anglesey, off the coast of North Wales. At the age of 16, she relocated to Liverpool to study at Paul McCartney’s Institute of Performing Arts, where she graduated with a diploma in Music Performance and Production.
Introduced to sailing by a family of seafarers, Hannah packed her bags and joined the yachting industry at just 19 years old.
Hannah plans to make yachting a long-term career and hopes to work her way up to chief stewardess in the future. She enjoys experimenting with cocktails and looks forward to catering to guests’ tastes during cocktail hour on board.
Hannah’s secret talents include playing the piano and singing. She also enjoys Pilates, exploring new places, and sampling local cuisines.
