Marcus began his maritime career in 2009, originally working as a charter skipper on 50ft sailing vessels on the South coast of England. Attracted by the lure of the wider ocean, he decided to make yachting his long-term career. After moving into the superyacht industry, he progressed through the ranks on a variety of sailing vessels and motor yachts, gaining his Master's license in 2020. Marcus loves tackling the varied challenges of this unique industry and strives to ensure the very best of guest experiences. In his leisure time, he enjoys anything to do with the ocean, particularly scuba diving and kiteboarding. His other hobbies include hiking, mountaineering, cinematography, film, and literature.

Luke was born in the UK but moved to Portugal at a young age. He spent his youth traveling up and down the Portuguese coast, surfing and working on the beach in the summer. This fuelled Luke’s passion for travel and the ocean, which led him to pursue a career in yachting over a decade ago. After working on various sizes of motor yachts, Luke is happy to find himself on board Motor Yacht APOGEE and looks forward to making your time on board as fun and safe as possible. Outside of work, you can find Luke at the beach surfing or going on long hikes.

Jean is from Pretoria, South Africa. A family friend convinced him to try out yachting for a “gap year” before going to university in 2008. That first year of yachting took him from San Diego, USA, all the way to Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, visiting two dozen other countries along the way. Jean was hooked and enthusiastically went to work to progress in this unique industry. He is passionate about nature and enjoys hobbies like scuba diving, fishing, kiteboarding, hiking, and wildlife photography.

Pieter was born in South Africa and began his yachting career in 2020. Growing up in the stunning coastal landscapes of Mozambique, he developed a deep passion for the ocean from a young age. During his school holidays, Pieter spent time with local fishermen and deep-sea anglers, where he not only learned how to fish but also perfected the skill. that a healthy body leads to a healthy life. In his spare time, you’ll find him pursuing his hobbies, which include fishing, trail running, hiking, and swimming. He loves the outdoors and having an active lifestyle, and is looking forward to meeting you and helping you get the most from your trip.
Matthew was born amongst a farming community in Zimbabwe, hunting and fishing, and the love for the outdoors has always been in his blood. His yachting career started when he sailed from South Africa to the British Virgin Islands on a 48-foot Catamaran. In his downtime, you can find him either wakeboarding, fly fishing, or enjoying a scuba dive. He is proud to be a part of the APOGEE team and is ready to offer our guests an unforgettable experience.
Finn is an enthusiastic deckhand, always full of energy. At 26 years old and from Cape Town, he is relatively new to the superyacht industry but has over two and a half years of experience in sail yacht racing. Finn appreciates the simple pleasures in life and especially enjoys staying active, whether through sports, water activities, or other outdoor pursuits. Music has played a significant role in Finn’s life, with 12 years of experience as a DJ, allowing him to showcase his creativity and outgoing nature. He describes himself as the ‘personality hire’ and is eager to continue building his skills and knowledge to establish a long-term career in yachting.
Keagan’s passion for the ocean started from a young age, where he grew up surfing, fishing, and wakeboarding on the coast of Durban. This cemented a strong love for the ocean and water sports. Keagan spent 3 years studying a marketing degree in the beautiful wine region of Stellenbosch in Cape Town, SA. Upon completing his degree, he secured a job in marketing for 2 years, but the call of the ocean was too strong and led him to Italy, where he began his career in yachting. Keagan is full of fun and an active team player; he is looking forward to entertaining guests on the water!
Campbell is our chilled yet diligent deckhand from Durban, South Africa. He has always had a love for the ocean, and from a young age, he developed a passion for rock and surf fishing, as well as bodyboarding, scuba diving, and free diving. Campbell spent five years studying to become an electrical engineer and qualified as an electrician. Having set his sights on becoming a dive master and eventually a second engineer on yachts, he is committed to working hard to ensure your trip is a success. Known for his outgoing, easygoing nature, you will find Campbell relaxed and happy to lend a hand wherever needed.

Rommel is from Negros, Philippines, where he studied mechanical engineering and Marine engineering at the Western Institute of Technology. For a change of pace and the opportunity to explore the world, Rommel worked on commercial ships for eight years, then, for a new experience, he began his yachting career in 2004. Rommel’s extensive knowledge of the mechanical aspects onboard the vessel ensures that APOGEE’s systems are always operating at peak performance. In his spare you will find him playing basketball or practicing the art of karate.
Born and raised on Australia's Great Barrier Reef, Rochelle grew up building boats with her father and competitively racing outrigger canoes along the east coast. Her love for the ocean shines through in every dish. At just 16, Rochelle honed her skills in award-winning restaurants and with high-net-worth families before transitioning to superyachts over 15 years ago. She has continued to train with some of the world’s leading culinary teachers, earning credentials in Sushi Bronze (Tokyo), patisserie and boulangerie (Paris), fermentation and gastronomy (Mallorca), and raw food nutrition with Matthew Kenney in Sydney. Rochelle’s dishes are globally inspired, beautifully presented, and always tailored to guests' tastes using fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Her warm personality and expertise ensure every dish is truly memorable.
