Dustin brings over 13 years of experience in the yachting industry, progressing from deckhand to Master 3000GT through dedication, professionalism, and a genuine passion for life at sea. Having worked across private and charter programmes, major refits, new builds, worldwide cruising, and complex shipyard projects, he has developed a calm and practical leadership style that inspires confidence amongst owners, guests, and crew alike. Throughout his career, Dustin has maintained an excellent safety record and is known for his approachable nature, strong organisational skills, and ability to foster a positive onboard environment.
Before entering yachting, Dustin worked as a golf teaching professional, a passion he still enjoys sharing with guests whenever the opportunity arises. Away from the bridge, he enjoys golf, fishing, rugby, mountain biking, snowboarding, and spending time on home improvement projects. His enthusiasm for planning, problem-solving, and continuous learning, combined with his down-to-earth personality, makes him a valued leader who is committed to creating memorable experiences while ensuring AQUASITION operates safely and efficiently at all times.

Kane is an experienced Australian captain with more than 15 years in the superyacht industry and 8 years serving as Captain on both private and commercial charter yachts. Having successfully led operations on vessels ranging from 40 to 75 metres, he has built a reputation for dependable leadership, meticulous operational standards, and a genuine commitment to both owners and crew. His extensive cruising experience spans the Mediterranean, Caribbean, Australia, and the United States, where he has managed everything from busy charter programmes and major refits to helicopter and submersible operations.
Before joining the yachting industry, Kane served in the Australian military as a driving instructor operating heavy vehicles in challenging environments before running his own earthmoving business. These experiences helped shape the calm, disciplined, and practical approach he brings to command today. Guests appreciate his approachable nature, detailed itinerary planning, and passion for delivering seamless experiences on the water. In his spare time, Kane enjoys kitesurfing, foiling, surfing, paddleboarding, sailing, travelling, and staying active, interests that perfectly complement his lifelong connection to the ocean and adventure.

“Jamie” brings more than 20 years of culinary experience to the galley, with a background spanning restaurants, chalets, private households and the past seven years in yachting. British by nationality, he began his career at just 15 as a Commis Chef and worked his way through the ranks to Chef de Partie, Head Chef and Sole Chef roles. This varied career has given him a broad, adaptable cooking style and the confidence to cater for owners, charter guests and crew with equal care.
Having worked on both sailing and motor yachts up to 50m, Jamie is organised, efficient and comfortable tailoring menus to your preferences, dietary needs and cruising programmes. His land-based background includes private chef work for UHNW clients, chalet cuisine and high-end restaurants, while his yachting roles have taken him through private and charter programmes in the Caribbean and beyond. Outside of the galley, Jamie enjoys travelling and exploring new cuisines as well as photography, health and fitness, and scuba diving.

Stacey joins the team as Chief Stewardess, bringing a naturally organised mind, creative eye and calm leadership style to the interior. Originally from South Africa, she has developed a strong reputation for keeping a busy interior running smoothly, from detailed inventories, SOPs and maintenance schedules to thoughtful guest touches, themed events and beautifully considered tablescapes. Her recent time on board M/Y VALINOR saw her rise from 3rd Stewardess to Chief Stewardess, as she shone over 5 seasons, leading a three-person interior team through both private and charter programmes across The Bahamas, New England, Central America and the South Pacific.
Guests will find Stacey attentive, polished and genuinely enthusiastic about creating memorable experiences on board. She enjoys the balance between structure and creativity that yachting demands, whether that means preparing the yacht to immaculate boat-show standard, planning a high-energy themed evening, or adding small personal details to a turn-down. Away from service, Stacey loves diving, freediving, photography, travel and spending time outdoors, particularly in the South African bush.

Stacey Barrett

Hayley is a warm, positive and yet detail-orientated with a strong interior background across housekeeping, laundry and service. Since joining yachting in 2021, she has built on her experience on a range of busy charter programmes, progressing from junior and sole stewardess roles through to 2nd Stewardess and stepping up as temporary Chief Stewardess for four months.
Guests find Hayley calm, caring and approachable. She is a naturally organised and service-minded, and takes pride in creating serene, welcoming spaces for guests and bringing a thoughtful, respectful approach to the team. She is very adaptable and confident in all aspects of interior service and is happy to help out on deck and with guest transfers too. Outside of work, Hayley enjoys pilates, yoga, baking, skincare, podcasts, health and wellness, and beach walks with her dogs, all of which reflect her nature.

Hayley Legg
Stewardess
Kyle is a reliable and hardworking deckhand with a strong can-do attitude and an easy-going nature. A real team player, he brings a practical approach to deck operations and is always ready to lend a hand wherever needed. Educated at Paul Roos Gymnasium boarding school in Stellenbosch, he developed the adaptability, discipline and people skills that continue to support him well on board.
Since entering yachting in 2021, Kyle has gained experience across all aspects of deck maintenance, tender driving, detailing and watersports support. Most recently, he has worked as Chase Boat Captain within the GO and KAMAKASA programme and holds his IYT Master of Yachts 200GT. Fully committed to the industry, Kyle is determined to keep progressing through the ranks. Away from work, he enjoys surfing, bodyboarding, wakeboarding, diving, spearfishing, gym training and rugby. With his own love of watersports and an active lifestyle, he brings confidence, enthusiasm and a reassuring presence to guest activities on the water.

Kyle Wilkinson
Bosun
Ivica was born and raised in Dubrovnik, Croatia, where he developed a lifelong connection with the sea through water sports, fishing and time spent on the water. After completing his education as a graduated marine engineer, he began his maritime career in 2002 on commercial cargo ships, travelling extensively and circumnavigating the world several times while working on a variety of vessels.
In 2012, Ivica made the move into yachting and has remained in the industry ever since, building extensive experience as a Chief Engineer on both private and charter yachts. Proactive, hands-on and highly detail-oriented, he takes great pride in keeping the engine room, systems and maintenance running smoothly, ensuring guests can relax and enjoy their time on board with complete confidence.
Ivica is always at your service and is dedicated to making sure everything operates seamlessly during your stay. A married family man, he enjoys spending his free time kayaking with his children and, when time allows, spearfishing for the occasional fresh catch for dinner.

Ivica Cumbelic
Chief engineer
James brings his hands-on, safety-focused energy to the deck team, with a strong practical skillset and a clear ambition to continue progressing through the industry. His four years on M/Y VALINOR took him through busy private and charter programmes, long passages, Pacific cruising, Central America, the East and West Coast of the United States, and The Bahamas. During this time, he grew from Deckhand to Bosun, gaining valuable bridge experience, standing watch on crossings and stepping into Chief Mate duties during leave periods.
More recently, James has been involved in the new-build phase of M/Y PAPER MOON, helping to set up the deck department, organise equipment, assist with commissioning and take part in sea trials. Confident with tenders, water sports, maintenance planning and deck operations, he brings a steady and proactive presence on board. In his own time, James enjoys fishing, surfing, bodyboarding, golf and hands-on maintenance projects — so you’ll usually find him happiest when he is outdoors, on the water or fixing something.

James Clayden
First Officer
Meet “Jess”, our down-to-earth and highly capable deckhand with over three years’ experience, strong large tender-driving skills and a genuine love for life on the water. Originally from Belgium, she speaks English and Dutch and has worked across both private and charter yachts in the Mediterranean and Caribbean. On board M/Y AWAY she was promoted to Bosun, taking on greater responsibility for deck operations while also serving as the main tender driver on a 37ft Axopar.
Active, practical and never one to stand still, Jessica is confident with mooring, anchoring, teak maintenance, varnishing, painting, watersports and drone videography. She is also a PADI Rescue Diver and enjoys helping guests make the most of their time on the water, whether through wakeboarding, jet skiing, e-foiling, Seabobs or tender excursions. Outside work, Jessica loves scuba diving, hiking, snowboarding, travel photography, cooking and baking, bringing a relaxed, adventurous spirit to the deck team.

Paul is a practical, hands-on engineer with a calm and capable approach to life on board. Before moving into yachting, he spent 15 years working in commercial and domestic plumbing, giving him a strong technical foundation and a naturally solutions-focused mindset. This background comes through in the way he works: organised, approachable and always looking for the most efficient way to keep things running smoothly behind the scenes.
With over a decade in the superyacht industry, Paul brings solid engineering experience to M/Y AQUASITION, along with a steady team-focused attitude and a good understanding of life on the water. Alongside his engineering qualifications, he holds his RYA Yachtmaster Offshore, Powerboat Level 2 and PWC tickets, and has experience with tender and chase boat operations, making him a versatile presence on board. Whilst you may not always be aware of the work happening in the engine room, Paul’s practical nature and proactive approach help ensure your time on board feels comfortable, safe and seamless.
