A highly skilled river pilot, Armindo possesses in-depth knowledge of the waterways within the Peruvian Amazon’s River system. Renowned as one of the top captains in the industry, his extensive experience in navigation and management sets him apart. In addition to his expertise, Armindo is a qualified safety officer, proficient in leading critical safety operations such as fire clearance drills, ship abandonment and man overboard protocols, and ensuring safe navigation. He is adept at utilizing advanced navigation tools, including radars, GPS, echo sounders, virtual charts, anemometers, and inclinometers. He also spent some time as a pilot for Amazon River Pilot and as a patron on various vessels. In addition to his extensive practical experience, Richard holds certifications from prestigious maritime institutions, including the National School of Merchant Marine "Almirante Miguel Grau", the American Computer Fluvial Training Center, Fluvial Merchant Marine Officers, and the International Maritime Organization (IMO).
