Maro is a Croatian Chief Engineer with over 17 years of seagoing experience, spanning both merchant vessels and superyachts. Holding a Bachelor of Engineering and full STCW certifications, he brings extensive technical expertise in diesel engine maintenance, ship propulsion systems, and overall engine-room operations. His career includes senior engineering roles aboard motor yachts, as well as earlier service cargo ships and offshore support vessels. Maro demonstrates strong leadership, adaptability, and organizational skills, having managed diverse engineering teams, safety training, and refit projects under high-pressure environments. Known for his reliability, hands-on problem-solving, and cross-cultural teamwork, he will make sure that both guests and crew are always on a safe environment.

Stjepan is from Zagreb, Croatia, and always having had a strong passion for food. He enrolled in the hospitality tourism school in Zagreb to study to become a chef at the age of fifteen. His love for cooking and passion for food made an easy transition to acquire culinary skills. After graduating culinary school, Stjepan worked in Croatia for a year and then moved to Germany to discover a different culture and style of cuisine – broadening his palette and knowledge. He began his maritime career on board cruise ships and river ships, expanding his portfolio in world cuisine, discovering his specialty in Mediterranean and Japanese fusion food. Moving back onto land, Stjepan found his way working in a Michelin Star Restaurant, where he was able to help his team obtain AAA Rosettes. He also worked at a Japanese restaurant where he contributed to the team earning a Gault Millau award of 17 points. Stjepan always knew he wanted to travel and transferred his knowledge onto yachts since 2019. He has experience cruising in the Atlantic, Mediterranean, North, South Pacific and Caribbean Seas. When not cooking, Stjepan enjoys traveling, football, basketball, and learning languages – and he is fluent in Croatian, English and German.
Beatriz is an enthusiast deckhand with experience on yachts up to 57m. She’s confident in washdowns, teak care, docking, anchoring, and water toy setup. With a background in consulting and swim instruction, she brings strong communication and teamwork to her role. Beatriz is passionate about watersports, especially kitesurfing, swimming, and fishing. She’s eager to grow in the industry, thrive in a team environment and strive to create a positive atmosphere for the guests and crew on board ARYA.

With over three decades of experience Captain Barnaby is a maritime professional known for his calm leadership, technical expertise, and exceptional operational standards.
Holding an MCA Master 3000 license since 2002, he has commanded vessels up to 67m across the Caribbean, Mediterranean, Northern Europe, Central America, and the USA. His career spans high-profile refits, complex logistics for regattas, and successful charter operations, including dual charter seasons. Barnaby is known for his meticulous attention to detail, crew retention, and unwavering commitment to safety. Whether navigating polar waters or coordinating elite sailing events, he brings a wealth of knowledge, a global network of contacts, and a passion for excellence to every project. When he is not on board, Barnaby enjoys skiing, sailing, windsurfing, climbing, tennis, and theatre and music as well. He is now excited for his new role and cannot wait to welcome guests on board ARYA.

Lizerette, born in Mexico has had a life-long passion for travel, hospitality and adventure. She loves to step out of her comfort zone, explore and try different things. Before taking the step onto yachts, Lizz had worked in the nutrition industry, owning her own business as a nutritionist for 15 years, worked as a personal assistant and trained as a private pilot to take on a new adventure and hobby. Through years of dedication working with her clients designing nutritional plans, coordinating preferences and budgets, Lizz developed a keen eye for detail and a genuine care for people. With travel as one of her many hobbies, Lizz traveled solo for many extended periods of time. This, along with her career history, allowed her to develop a deep cultural sensitivity, empathy and understanding for people. Her love for the ocean introduced her to the yachting industry. As a yacht Chief stew she has been able to provide personalized guest service, catering to individual preference and needs, always with a welcoming smile. Previously on ZEXPLORER, Lizz is excited to be on board ARYA and she will ensure a comfortable and memorable experience on board.

Hailing from South Africa, Cuan has three years of experience in the yachting industry. He brings strong technical skills in deck operations, tender driving, and shipyard projects. Cuan is also a talented videographer and drone pilot, having produced over 40 charter videos, and a musician who performs for guests onboard. With a Yacht Master 200-ton license and a passion for fishing, he adds both professionalism and personality to any crew. With a positive can-do attitude, he is excited for the new adventure on ARYA.

With a background in corporate communication, teaching, and fine dining, she brings a refined blend of professionalism, creativity, and service excellence to every role on board. Kenyan is highly skilled in guest service, housekeeping, and interior management, known for her proactive attitude and eye for detail. A certified yoga instructor with a passion for event styling and mixology, her service is tailored to each guest’s preferences. She excels in dynamic settings and is eager to be contributing to a committed team that upholds the highest standards of service on board.
