Bio: Rahman is from the rural town of Highgate in St. Mary, Jamaica. Growing up on a farm, he later earned degrees in Natural Sciences and Marine Engineering from the Caribbean Maritime University. Passionate about engineering and the maritime industry, Rahman also enjoys hiking, hand-line fishing, self-defense training and spending time with his nieces and nephews.

Born in South Africa, Chase developed a passion for the ocean early in life, which naturally evolved into a career in yachting. After completing his formal maritime training and obtaining his MCA Master 3000GT, he embarked on a career that has taken him across the Caribbean, Bahamas, US East Coast, and Southeast Asia. Known for his calm leadership style and hands-on approach, Chase quickly moved up the ranks and earned a reputation for his ability to manage both high-pressure charters and complex shipyard periods with ease. In 2013, he served as First Mate aboard M/Y Tanvas throughout Southeast Asia, navigating challenging waters and remote destinations. He went on to hold senior positions on a range of high-profile vessels including M/Y Antares and M/Y Stay Salty, where he successfully ran over 28 trips annually—balancing demanding Owners’ schedules and back-to-back charters with precision. In recent years, Chase has provided relief and freelance Captain services for several yachts such as M/Y Kamakasa, M/Y South, and M/Y Chasing Daylight, while also assisting management companies with refits, Boss trips, and insurance claims. Most recently, he captained M/Y King Baby as Rotational Captain during a technically demanding period following a lightning strike. Throughout his career, Chase has been recognized for leading cohesive crews, delivering exceptional guest experiences, and maintaining high standards of safety, organization, and hospitality. When not on board, he enjoys staying active, traveling, and spending time with his wife in Fort Lauderdale.

Chase Cunningham

Born in South Africa, Cuan developed a love for the ocean early in life, spending his free time fishing, spearfishing, and surfing. After earning a Diploma in Tourism and Tour Operations, he began his career as a Marine Logistics Supervisor in East Africa, which laid the foundation for a dynamic path into the yachting world. He quickly rose through the ranks thanks to his hands-on leadership and enthusiasm for exploring off-the-beaten-path destinations. Cuan has commanded yachts across Southeast Asia, the Bahamas, the Caribbean, Central America, and the Mediterranean. In 2011, he captained M/Y Tanvas across the Indo-Pacific, overseeing multiple refits and cruising remote areas of Indonesia. He went on to manage charter programs aboard M/Y Antares and M/Y Stay Salty, where he successfully balanced intensive refits, busy charter schedules, and high-level corporate events. Most recently, he captained M/Y Memento Vivere, transitioning the vessel into a demanding multi-owner charter program. Throughout his career, Cuan has been recognized for leading strong, professional crews and delivering seamless guest experiences. When not on board, he enjoys kiteboarding, free diving, hiking, and spending time on or near the water.

Bio: Growing up in a small fishing village where my family has been crab and lobster fishermen for generations, I decided to follow in their footsteps. First by skippering a fishing boat for three years after a lifetime of working on board, and then moving onto yachts in 2015. At home I also part of the RNLI (lifeboat) where we would train each week to keep locals and visitors alike safe. When I’m not on the water, I’m in it. Either scuba diving or kayaking. I enjoy traveling and the amazing places that yachting has taken me too so far, and look forward to continuing that journey. Training and developing the skills of junior crew has always been one of my favorite parts of the job.

Bio: Elliott’s love for the ocean began as a child, surfing the waves of Southern California. Always destined for an ocean-based career, he earned a degree in Oceanography and completed a thesis on mangrove estuaries. After graduating, he moved to South Africa to work as a marine biologist, researching Great White Sharks and promoting ocean conservation. Elliott’s career then took him to exotic locations like Indonesia, where he set up marine parks as a research diver, and Honduras, where he taught diving in both English and Spanish. With plans to eventually start his own catamaran-based dive and conservation program, Elliott turned to yachting in order to learn everything about boats to make his dream a reality. When not underwater, Elliott enjoys mountaineering, surfing, skiing, snowboarding, wildlife and drone photography.
