Benoit was born in Montreal, Canada, and moved to Florida at 21, where he met his wife of over 30 years. He has been working in yachting since 1993, starting his career as a mechanic/technician and progressing to 2nd Engineer in 1997 and Chief Engineer in 2001. With nearly 30 years of experience on various yachts, he is highly skilled in maintaining and operating complex marine systems.
After retiring at 54, Benoit returned to yachting due to his passion for the industry, now bringing his expertise back to ASANI. Over the years, he was worked alongside his wife and even seen his daughter follow in his footsteps as a yacht stewardess, making yachting a true family affair.

Siani, pronounced Shar-ni, joins ASANI after five years in the yachting industry. Although Siani was born and raised on the Gold Coast in Australia, she is very proud of her English heritage. She has always had a strong connection with the ocean and always feels at home by the water. Her brother is also a chief officer in the industry so it's no surprise she was naturally attracted to yachting. Siani looks forward to welcoming you on board ASANI and hopes that the memories you create on board are as fun and joyful as they are for the crew.

Pete is a hands-on Captain with a wide-ranging skill set and a deep understanding of yachting developed over a remarkable 25 year career. Being both an experienced Captain and Engineer, he draws on his extensive knowledge from both fields to ensure the yacht operates smoothly. This expertise is his key to providing a safe and enjoyable experience for all on board. Pete brings a friendly and relaxed approach to his role and is always eager to share a few stories from his travels to distant shores.
Growing up near the seaside and coming from a family with a background in marine biology, Pete was destined to love the sea and uses diving and yachting to satisfy his enjoyment. With two children at home in France, Pete is very comfortable around youngsters and takes joy in playing and having a joke when the time is right.

Kyle joined the ASANI team during the build period and consistently strives for excellence on board. With a decade of experience in the yachting industry, he is a valuable resource and provides a wealth of knowledge on board. Kyle has worked his way from Deckhand to Chief Officer on vessels ranging from 30m to 110m and holds the goal of becoming a Captain firmly in his sights. Always approachable and known for his friendly smile, Kyle has become a key member of the ASANI family.
In addition to his yachting skills, Kyle is a qualified chef and sommelier. His passion for culinary exploration shines through when he travels and discovers new cuisines. Kyle has also represented his adopted nation, Namibia, at international level in both waterskiing and swimming.

Gareth joined ASANI in the lead up to her first Mediterranean season. Gareth’s yachting experience began in 2016 as a deckhand on board a 44m yacht. He quickly moved up the ranks having been Bosun, Chase Boat Captain and 2nd Officer on boats ranging from 40m to 90m becoming Chief Officer in 2025. Gareth has his sights firmly set on obtaining his Master 3000 ticket in the near future and looks forward to leading the deck team.
Born and raised on a game farm in Zimbabwe, Gareth learnt to appreciate the power and beauty of nature from a young age which helped him develop a strong passion for photography.

Hailing from the coastal city of Southampton in the UK, Matt began his yachting career 12 years ago and has never looked back. As a chef, Matt describes his passion for food as "second nature". He finds genuine joy in sharing that passion with guests, always aiming to exceed expectations with every dish he creates.
Matt's culinary style is wide-ranging, with a particular affinity for modern European, Mediterranean and Asian cuisines. Whether preparing elegant fine dining, relaxed al fresco meals, or health-conscious menus, he brings creativity, skill and precision to every plate.

Jonny is a passionate chef whose culinary journey began at a young age in the North of England. Jonny quickly moved to London to join La Gavroche under the leadership of a French Master, Michelle Roux. He then later moved to the South of France to work under another celebrated French Chef, Jacque Chibolis.
In 2001, Jonny opened his own restaurant in Tourettes-sur-Loup. Whilst this business was very successful, he felt an overwhelming urge to travel and explore what the yachting industry had to offer. He has been working on yachts for over 15 years where his commitment and passion to provide a wonderful guest experience continues to thrive. Jonny’s cuisine style demonstrates an eclectic repertoire and his passion for learning.

Bree hails from the sunny shores of the Gold Coast in Australia. She joined her first yacht in 2020 and split her time between the deck and interior departments as a deckhand and stewardess. In 2022, she made the decision to stick to the interior department and developed her housekeeping and service skills. Bree thrives in fast-paced environments making her the perfect asset to a crew of a busy charter yacht during the summer season! She has also worked as a housekeeper and cleaner for luxury houses and rentals which provided her with excellent experience for working on the water.
Bree is passionate about travelling and loves trying new foods. She enjoys spending time with her friends and family back home during her periods of leave.
