Marija was born in Lithuania and raised in Germany, where she studied Hotel Management and Chef de Cuisine. Since then, she has built extensive international experience working in restaurants and hotels around the world, alongside 10 years in the yachting industry. A passionate and dedicated chef, Marija brings both energy and precision to the galley, creating a calm, organised, and welcoming atmosphere on board. Her goal is always to make each guest’s experience feel effortless, personal, and memorable – from the first meal to the smallest detail. Her cuisine is primarily Mediterranean, drawing from Italian, Spanish, French, and Greek influences, while also incorporating flavours from Eastern European, German, Thai, Indian, and Middle Eastern cooking when suited to guests’ preferences. While cruising the South of France, she especially enjoys working with seasonal produce and fresh Mediterranean ingredients, including seafood, aromatic herbs, and olive oil, prepared with clean and elegant techniques. She is also experienced in creating vegetarian, vegan, low-carb, and allergy-conscious menus. Outside the galley, Marija loves spending time at sea, travelling, and discovering new cultures, often finding inspiration through local markets, restaurants, and regional cuisine around the world.
