Laney was born in Phoenix, Arizona. She moved around her whole life and was raised mainly in California. Her love for constant change and travel brought her to yachting. Laney started her career as a sole stewardess on a 36meter M/Y and always strives for the highest level of service for guests. Christo grew up in the Garden Route of South Africa, which is lined with long stretches of beach. Growing up on the coast, Christo is an extremely strong swimmer with a passion for the water. At only the age of 18, he began his yachting career, deservingly. Prior to this, Christo spent most of his holidays as a life guard and also succeeded in many swimming galas throughout his school career. His love for the water only strengthened his drive in his pursuit of yachting. His calming personality paired with his love for this life, has made him an essential asset to Azteca and will make your stay relaxing and enjoyable.

With 17 years in the yachting industry his extensive knowledge and hands-on expertise ensure that M/Y Azteca runs smoothly and efficiently, providing a safe and reliable experience for both guests and crew. Beyond his engineering responsibilities, Dazel enjoys sports, music, traveling, and embracing diverse cultures. He thrives on meeting people from different backgrounds, appreciating the unique perspectives and experiences they bring. Delroy is from Kingston, Jamaica. From his early years as a child, he had a passion of fixing things, while also having creativity and making various toys. This desire for engineering skills, paved the way forward to becoming an Engineer. He started his maritime engineer studies in 1998 at the Caribbean Maritime Institute. He has worked on various commercial vessels and land-based power plants, where he gained valuable knowledge. He entered into the yachting industry in 2008. His motto in life is: your attitude will determine your altitude in whatever you do.

Eric is from a small seaside town along the Western Cape, where the ocean and wide-open landscapes shaped much of his early life. He grew up as a competitive golfer, representing his union for several years and traveling across South Africa to take part in tournaments. When he wasn’t on the golf course, Eric could often be found on the water, spending his free time sailing a 14- foot dinghy across a lagoon, an experience that created his love for the sea and his technical skill on the water. Azteca marks the third yacht he has served on, reflecting his commitment, experience and passion for life at sea.

Nick is Jamaican raised and started his journey on Azteca as a relief Chief Engineer. Nick has recently been offered a permanent position on board and proves to be a vital member to the Azteca team. Nick strives to fix any issue, no matter how big or small, and always finds a solution to the problem. Nick’s laid-back nature paired with his vast and impressive skillset equips him with everything he needs to ensure that the guests are always taken care of and that things always run smoothly on Azteca.

Jordan is 23 years old and was raised in Kzn, South Africa. Jordan has a marketing management degree from Varsity College. With his passion for being on the ocean, he decided to venture into the world of yachting. Azteca is Jordan’s first yacht.
