With over 10 years’ experience in the yachting industry, Captain Ovidiu Fola has developed from deckhand to captain, gaining broad hands-on experience in yacht operations, maintenance, guest service and crew management. He began his yachting career in 2014 on M/Y Princess 85’ ENIGMA, working around Costa Blanca and the Balearic Islands, before moving into captain roles on a variety of charter yachts in Ibiza and Formentera. Since 2021, Ovidiu has captained the Pershing 9X BALOO III, managing a crew of four and cruising throughout the Balearics, Italy and the South of France. Holding certifications including STCW Basic Safety Training, RYA Yachtmaster Offshore, GMDSS GOC, ENG1 Seafarer Medical Certificate and PADI Open Water Diver, he is hardworking, proactive and highly adaptable, with strong leadership, communication and organisational skills, as well as experience in provisioning, maintenance planning, dry dock periods and delivering excellent guest experiences on board.

Agustin Ubios is a proactive, organised and hard-working deckhand with experience in yacht operations, maintenance, tender handling and guest service. Since 2024, he has been working as deckhand on the Pershing 9X BALOO III, assisting with lines, fenders, docking and undocking manoeuvres, navigation, cleaning, maintenance, service and water tours while cruising around Ibiza, Corsica, Sardinia and France. He also has strong hands-on maintenance experience, including stainless steel polishing, hull polishing, fiberglass repair, teak treatment and interior carpentry, as well as experience with jet skis, foils, tenders, drone videos and photos. Holding STCW, ENG1, YM Coastal and Yachtmaster Offshore certificates, Agustin is passionate about sea life and sailing, with a strong eye for detail and a clear motivation to keep learning and growing in the yachting industry.

Javier Romero is an experienced Private Chef specialising in Mediterranean cuisine, seafood and conscious food, with a strong background in luxury hospitality, private dining, yacht charters and remote-location catering. He has worked in high-end chef roles across Spain, Australia and Canada, including private chef position on yachts and live-aboard vessels, island resorts and exclusive lodges. Since 2025, Javier has been working as Private Chef on BALOO III, creating customised Mediterranean-Asian menus for VIP yacht clients cruising around Ibiza, Formentera and the Amalfi Coast. He is skilled in menu development, dietary adaptations, premium ingredient sourcing, kitchen management, inventory control and HACCP food safety standards. Holding qualifications including STCW Basic Safety Training, Medical Fitness Certificate for Maritime Employment, Navigation License and Merchant Marine Cook Certificate, Javier combines strong culinary expertise with excellent organisation, creativity and the ability to deliver refined dining experiences in exclusive settings.

Vanessa Gusinu is a positive, energetic and discreet professional with strong experience in office administration, customer service, logistics and fleet management. She has worked in both Italy and the Netherlands, gaining solid skills in client relations, vehicle preparation, deliveries, inventory, quality control, team coordination and administration. She worked for Palarent and Lurenting in Olbia, where she handled office tasks, customer service, vehicle and fleet preparation, car deliveries and luxury villas and resorts. She also has previous yachting-related experience with Dream Yacht Charter, supporting owners’ and guests’ charters, broker communication, provisioning and administrative duties. Holding STCW Basic Safety Training, Powerboat Level 2 handling, GMDSS VHF SRC and ENG1 Seafarer Medical Certificate, Vanessa is reliable, adaptable and well organised, with a calm professional attitude and the ability to work well under pressure.
