Originally from South Africa, Nicole combines a natural sense of hospitality with a love for the ocean, making her an integral part of the guest experience aboard Behike. Having grown up in a fishing family, life on the water has always felt like home, and her path into yachting came naturally. Nicole’s professional journey began in administration and business before she transitioned into the wellness and beauty industry, where she successfully ran her own nail salon. Her attention to detail, client care, and entrepreneurial spirit laid a strong foundation for her yachting career, which began in 2021. Since then, she has gained valuable experience on board several vessels, both private and charter, ranging from 15m to 43m, including positions as service stewardess, sole stewardess, and relief deckhand. Since joining Behike in early 2025, Nicole has taken on the interior service with energy and pride, helping create a seamless and welcoming environment for guests. She is known for her attentive nature, professionalism, and ability to remain calm under pressure—all while keeping a warm smile and positive spirit. Nicole’s personal mission is to continually grow in the industry while delivering a high-end, tailored service to every guest.

Born and raised in Indonesia, Hadi brings dedication, technical expertise, and a calm, hardworking spirit to the team. Though new to the yachting world in 2025, Hadi has embraced this exciting industry with enthusiasm and passion. He enjoys maintaining the yacht’s systems to ensure every voyage is safe, smooth, and comfortable for all guests. With a strong background as an Engineer Officer, Hadi is the go-to expert behind the scenes, keeping Behike running perfectly at sea. When Hadi isn’t focused on engineering, he enjoys fishing and exploring new cultures—having traveled to Singapore, Brunei, Malaysia, Vietnam, Belgium, the Netherlands, Lebanon, and the UAE. He values the camaraderie of the crew and looks forward to meeting new guests, always eager to provide excellent service with a warm, patient approach. Yachting has become more than a career for Hadi—it’s a passion. His commitment to excellence and calm professionalism make him an invaluable member of the Behike crew.

Joshua brings energy, passion, and a wealth of maritime experience to his role as Deckhand on the magnificent 43-meter charter yacht Behike. Hailing from the coastal town of Jeffreys Bay in South Africa, Joshua’s connection to the ocean runs deep. Growing up surfing, fishing, and diving, and coming from a boat-building family, the sea has always been a central part of his life. Joshua’s diverse background includes a Bachelor of Commerce in Business and Tourism, and extensive experience in hospitality, event management, and water safety at major national and international surfing competitions. His career path also includes yacht deliveries and sea trials with Kinetic Catamarans, where he honed his skills before fully committing to the superyacht industry. An adrenaline enthusiast, Joshua excels in a wide range of water sports including kitesurfing, spearfishing, jet skiing, and cliff jumping. His experience as a jet ski operator and lifeguard has given him a deep respect for safety at sea—having saved lives and faced close encounters with great white sharks. Fluent in English and Afrikaans, Joshua is known among the crew for his outgoing personality and hardworking nature. His passion for people and teamwork makes him a valued member of the Behike family, ensuring every guest enjoys a safe, memorable, and exhilarating experience on board.

With over 35 years in the yachting industry, Captain James Clephane brings deep expertise, professionalism, and a calm, guest-focused approach to Behike. Beginning his maritime career in sailing, he has captained both sailing and motor yachts worldwide, earning a reputation for leadership and excellence. James holds an MCA Master 3000 GT and has worked on yachts from 21 to 58 metres, including private and charter vessels. His global experience spans luxury cruising, offshore navigation, and humanitarian missions with the UN in Somalia and South Sudan, equipping him to handle any situation at sea. Now based in Dubai, James values Behike’s spacious design for premium Gulf charters. Guests appreciate his approachable nature, attention to detail, and ability to create relaxed, memorable journeys.

With over 20 years of maritime experience, Roderic brings leadership, precision, and calm confidence to his role as Chief Officer on Behike. A Marine Transportation graduate from the Philippine Maritime Institute, he has steadily risen through the ranks thanks to his strong work ethic and dedication. Roderic has captained several yachts in the Middle East, earning a reputation for professionalism, safe navigation, and outstanding guest service. He holds all certification making him well-equipped to manage complex vessel operations. A trusted expert in vessel manoeuvring, Roderic values Behike’s professional team and the opportunity to grow his skills. Known for his empathy, curiosity, and authenticity, he ensures every guest enjoys a smooth and memorable charter.

Bringing a blend of energy, professionalism, and warmth, Tiamari “Tia” is a vibrant addition to the crew of Behike. Originally from the South African coastline, Tia grew up with a deep connection to the sea. That passion, paired with a strong background in hospitality and wellness, naturally led her to the world of yachting. Before joining the industry, Tia completed her studies and pursued certifications in massage therapy, nail technology, interior service, and safety training. Her early experience includes time spent working in France and volunteering with the National Sea Rescue Institute, where she gained hands-on skills in seamanship and deck awareness. Since stepping into yachting, Tia has worked aboard both 50m and 60m private yachts, rapidly advancing through the ranks thanks to her hard work, reliability, and exceptional service. Now on board Behike, she is known for her attention to detail, calm presence, and team spirit — always ready to go the extra mile to ensure guest comfort and satisfaction. Whether setting the scene for an elegant dinner or offering a relaxing massage after a day in the sun, Tia adds a personal and thoughtful touch to each moment on board.

Bringing warmth, energy, and an eye for detail to every charter, Lauren Sloan is an experienced Stewardess whose background in beauty therapy and passion for hospitality shine through in every aspect of her service. Originally from Ireland, Lauren spent nine years working in beauty therapy after graduating from International Beauty School. Her expertise in massage, skincare, and guest care gives her a natural edge in creating a refined and relaxing onboard experience. Her transition into yachting was inspired by her love of travel, working in team environments, and the desire to deliver unforgettable guest experiences in dynamic, ever-changing settings. Laura is known for her adaptability, cheerful nature, and high service standards, all of which contribute to Behike’s warm and professional atmosphere. One of her most memorable moments on board was helping to plan and execute a surprise engagement for guests—an experience that reminded her just how unique and meaningful her role can be. When she’s not working, Lauren enjoys travelling, wine tasting, reading, nature walks, and listening to documentaries and podcasts. She takes pride in contributing to a supportive team culture and is always looking for ways to grow and refine her skills.

Umut brings over 12 years of dedicated yachting experience to his role as Deckhand on board Behike. Born in Turkey, Umut grew up around boats, beginning his maritime journey at 18 alongside his father in a shipyard. This early exposure inspired him to pursue a career at sea, combining his passion for travel with a profession he truly enjoys. Having worked on prestigious yachts, Umut brings valuable skills and a resourceful approach to every task. He appreciates the smooth operation of Behike and values the daily challenges that come with maintaining and upgrading high standards on board. Umut holds several qualifications including scuba diving and carpentry certifications. His technical expertise is complemented by talents such as welding and a commitment to working with diligence and care. When not working, Umut enjoys movies, reading, and socializing. Known for his friendly nature and resourcefulness, he always strives to deliver the best experience for guests and crew alike.

His love for the sea grew through years of surfing and lifeguarding, which naturally led him to pursue a career in yachting. With four years of yachting experience, including a year as a Captain in South Africa, Darian has steadily developed his skills and knowledge in this exciting industry. He has worked on a range of vessels, from private sailing yachts to larger motor yachts, and appreciates the diverse, multicultural environment that yachting offers. Darian has several certifications and is also preparing to complete his PADI Open Water diving course soon, enhancing his versatility on board. Known for his integrity, kindness, and tenacity, Darian is dedicated to delivering excellent service and safety for all guests. When he’s not on deck, he enjoys outdoor activities, surfing, playing sports, and writing.
