BIG BERTHA is a 2022 Lagoon 49-foot sailing catamaran built for the kind of relaxed, shallow-draft cruising the Virgin Islands were made for, sleeping eight guests across four cabins without anyone feeling they drew the short straw. She splits her time between the BVI and the US Virgin Islands, which means a week aboard can take in both sides of the chain, from the Baths and the Bight to the quieter corners of St. John, depending on how the trades behave. What a catamaran this size really gives you is space where you want it: a level, stable platform at anchor, a cockpit and saloon that flow into one another so nobody is stuck indoors, and bows that are perfect for a late-afternoon drink once the hook is down.
