About BLEU DE NIMES
A 72m motor yacht with exceptional long-range cruising abilities and a distinguished military background, BLEU DE NÎMES is no ordinary explorer yacht. Formerly a British Royal Navy degaussing vessel, she underwent a major conversion in 2000 when she was transformed from a navy vessel into a spacious family yacht.
Carried out in Turkey and overseen by her experienced Owner, this first rebuild was classified as a new construction by Lloyds and saw the creation of a brand new superstructure for BLEU DE NÎMES with yacht designer Peter Birkett keeping only the steel hull from the original vessel. BLEU DE NÎMES’ initial conversion was then followed by a second rebuild carried out in Italy from 2016 to 2020. Overseen by Studio Nattero, during her second rebuild BLEU DE NÎMES was extended by 16 metres with the addition of four new guest cabins, two tender garages, a central stairway and a super yacht lift. This second conversion took BLEU DE NÎMES from a family yacht to an ultra-luxurious explorer yacht with a stylish Pier Vittorio Cerruti interior and accommodation for up to 28 guests across her 13 staterooms. Guest accommodation onboard includes a stunning full-beam Owner’s suite with a private study plus his & hers dressing rooms and ensuite bathrooms, two VIP cabins, six double cabins, two triple cabins and two twin cabins each with an additional Pullman berth. BLEU DE NÎMES also has two staff cabins plus accommodation for her 23-person crew on the lower decks.

Katrin is originally from Java Island. Before joining BLEU DE NIMES, she completed her level 2 hotel diploma and gained experience as a hotel bar waitress and table service onboard passenger ships. Katrin is a committed member of the BLEU DE NIMES team.

Originally from Burgas, Zhivko graduated from the Chef school in Bulgaria and is a specialist in cooking fish and the Balkan culinary culture. He has been working with on board BLEU DE NIMES since 2017. Zhivko has gained his experience working closely with other chefs, following professional courses at the “Accademia Italiana Chef" in Genoa, and specializing in Asian food. Zhivko and Selene are the perfect team.

Silvano was born in the thriving seaport of Genova, where for several years, worked on a fishing boat and developed his nautical skills. He started yachting ten years ago and joined BLEU DE NIMES in 2021.

Gresica is originally from Java Island. Prior to joining BLEU DE NIMES, she gained experience in housekeeping roles at various hotels. Known for her kindness and attentiveness, she always strives to meet the needs of every guest.

Originally from Kathmandu, Renu graduated from university as an accountant. After university, she worked in hotels as a receptionist before working on a cruise ship as a bar waitress. Michele is a competent and precise person. Before BLEU DE NIMES, he used to work in merchant and passenger ships in the rank of third, second, and first officer. Originally from Sorrento, Michele is following in his father’s and uncles yachting footsteps. He holds an unlimited Italian CoC. He started on BLEU DE NIMES in June 2013 and oversees navigation, ISM, and ISPS as a Ship Security Officer.

Originally from Delhi, Indian region, Malik graduated from a marine school in Mumbai and started his career as a cadet on an Indian tugboat. He took his skills and joined BLEU DE NIMES as a deckhand in January 2020.
