Dan is from the west coast of Scotland. Dan left school and went to sea at the age of 18, working in commercial shipping. Dan enjoys riding his motorbike, shooting, and playing the bagpipes and occasionally you might catch him on the karaoke, singing his favorite country songs!

Sam was born and raised in South Shields, Newcastle upon Tyne, in the UK. Before joining Calex he completed his engineering cadetship at South Shields Marine School for three and a half years. He then spent a year working on commercial vessels such as emergency response and rescue vessels. He enjoys fishing and sports, primarily football and supports Newcastle United.

Luke was raised on a small sailing and fishing island in the southeast of England, he loves anything to do with the water and has been in the yachting industry since 2010. He loves spending time with his family, walking his dog and all things sports - mainly tennis, rugby and soccer.

Alex grew up in the north of Sweden in a small city called Ornskoldsvik. After graduating from high school in 2021 she flew down to the south of France to start her yachting career. She is a keen snowboarder and skier, loves to dance and go to concerts. Alex also enjoys reading and learning new things in her spare time. Alex hopes in the future to study business, with a term abroad in the United States

Tom grew up in Essex, UK. He has been in the yachting industry for nearly 10 years and has worked with both Captain Jon + Eddie on previous yachts! Tom enjoys rock climbing and has climbed in many places around the world, one of his favourites being Monterrey, Mexico! He also really enjoys sailing and has recently taken up kite surfing.

Tom was raised in the town of Bath, Maine with his parents and dog. From an early age, he has been sailing, which sparked his passion for being on the sea and ultimately led him to yachting. Tom played the trumpet in the school orchestra and enjoyed playing other instruments. Tom participated in the school's rugby and hockey teams and loves to play sports. He enjoys spending time skiing in the mountains throughout the winter.

Sam born and raised in London, with a strong passion for cooking. He spent three years working at Marcus, a two-Michelin- star restaurant and Gordan Ramsey Savoy Grill, where he honed his craft and learned from some of the best in the business. After that, he was a private family chef for five years. Outside of work, he likes to stay active with sports like paddle, football (supporting Tottenham Hotspurs), and golf.

Katie is from a small coastal town in Northern Ireland called Portrush. After leaving school she completed an apprenticeship in Spa Therapy. This allowed her to work in different spas across Northern Ireland, and eventually onboard Holland America Line’s cruise ship Volendam as a beauty therapist. It was during her time onboard the cruise ship that she found her love for exploring new places and meeting people from all over the world. Outside of work, she enjoys travelling, spending time with family and friends, and cold-water swimming.

Chris moved to Newcastle at the age of 17 to pursue his career in Marine Engineering. Chris comes from a long line of Engineers in various fields from Aviation, Telecoms and railroads. His seafaring began in the commercial world of container ships, completing his cadetship on some of the world’s largest cargo vessels. Chris boasts over 7 years working on Luxury Cruise Vessels and substantial London-based project management experience, overseeing sub-sea cable installation for some of the largest international tech giants. This is his third year working within the superyacht sector and is overjoyed to be one of the newest team members in the Calex family. Chris enjoys the creative world of performing arts and actively supports technical operations for TV, Film and Live Theatre and attends many of London’s West End. Chris also recently completed a masters specializing in Automation
Systems.

Adam is from London and spent six years working as a chef before transitioning into the yachting industry. With experience catering corporate events throughout the U.K., he brings a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and service-minded approach to his role as a deckhand. Passionate about the ocean, Adam enjoys diving, with Koh Tao in Thailand among his favorite destinations. Eager to expand his maritime skills, he contributes positively to deck operations while maintaining a professional and enthusiastic attitude onboard.
