Captain Ian has been the captain of Calypso I for 7 years now and has a wealth of knowledge and experience in the industry.
Ian has been sailing since a young age, but his first career was in the British Fire Service, where he served in the West Midlands, and Hereford and Worcester Brigades, eventually leaving after 9 years as a Brigade Instructor.
Since 1999 he has worked in the yachting industry, spending a lot of this time teaching others, and delivering yachts, both sail and power.
Ian’s passion for teaching led him to be invited to become an Examiner for the Royal Yachting Association, and to be the Author of the RYA Essential Navigation and Safety Course, and the accompanying handbook.
To date Ian has done 29 Atlantic crossings and One Indian Ocean Crossing, and accumulated over 290,000 sea miles all over the world.
Ian enjoys an apreciation of wine, Formula 1, and he studies Japanese Ju Jitsu, currently holding Blue Belt, and working towards his Brown Belt in 26/27, before taking Black Belt in 27/28.
Ian and his lovely wife Lia live in France with their two beautiful sons, Filipe and Lewis.

Christina is Austrian-born Mountie, but a South African surfer at heart, bringing a unique blend of European elegance and adventurous spirit. With a strong foundation in luxury hospitality and a career as Head of Production that took her across the globe, she developed an exceptional eye for detail, guest experience, and passion for mixing delicious cocktails as well as teaching Pilates.
Christina is deeply connected to the ocean and loves surfing, diving, and any excuse to be on or in the water - with her camera. Cruising around the US, Caribbean, Turkey and the Mediterranean over the last years, she is now excited to welcome guests onboard of Calypso I and create unforgettable memories together with the whole crew.

James has over ten years of experience in the yachting industry and is embarking on his third season onboard Calypso I.
Born on the west coast of Ireland, he has always had a strong passion for the sea.
Now based in Cannes, James lives with his wife, who is also part of the yachting industry. A keen sports enthusiast, he enjoys staying fit and active. In his free time, James loves to travel and explore new countries with his wife.

Originally from Devon, England, Bobbi leads an active coastal lifestyle enjoying paddle boarding and sea swimming and has a natural affinity with life at sea.
Bobbi discovered her passion for yachting last year while cruising the South of France and Italy.
With a strong hospitality background, and experience in working at high-end events, Bobbi brings a warm and approachable energy to the team, and she is ready to take on the Mediterranean summer, to create a welcoming atmosphere onboard for all of our guests.

Jordan is an experienced marine engineer with a strong background in commercial shipping. He completed a 3.5-year engineering apprenticeship with RB Shipping before transitioning into the yachting industry, drawn by the dynamic and hands-on nature of yacht operations. Now in his fourth season aboard Calypso I, Jordan plays a key role in ensuring the vessel runs safely, efficiently, and to the highest professional standards.
With a passion for life on and around the water, Jordan is an avid scuba diver and enjoys a wide range of water sports. Outside of yachting, he thrives on adventure sports including snowboarding and motorbike riding, reflecting his energetic and driven personality. Jordan is also responsible for capturing all of Calypso I’s drone footage and looks forward to another successful and enjoyable charter season onboard.

Simon has dedicated his career to the hospitality industry, honing his craft in restaurant and bar management for Disney before moving on to become a director at a highly reputed Parisian restaurant. As the chef, Simon developed a deep understanding of the culinary arts and gained an extensive knowledge of the intricacies involved in running a successful eatery. In 2021, Simon decided to embark on a new adventure, joining the yachting industry as an on-board chef. He brings with him a wealth of expertise in various cuisines and enjoys using fresh, seasonal, and locally sourced produce to create dishes that tantalize the taste buds of his guests. Simon’s passion for food extends beyond his professional life, as he enjoys exploring new culinary experiences and immersing himself in different gastronomies. He is also an avid wine and spirits enthusiast and has a keen interest in popular culture, football, and Formula1. Simon is happily married to his wife Valerie, and together, they have two daughters. Fluent in French, he currently resides in the charming town of Antibes, where he looks forward to embracing the local culture and lifestyle. Simon is excited about the upcoming season and the opportunities it presents to showcase his skills and creativity as a chef while satisfying the culinary desires of his guests.
