A second-generation yacht captain originally from the Southern Coast of California, I virtually grew up in the surf. Spending my younger years in the boat yard with my dad and his crew, or sailing dingy’s at our local yacht club.
I have over 20 yrs as a licensed captain, cutting my teeth in the commercial fishing and tug boat industry I quickly found myself onboard private yachts fishing the waters from Southern Mexico to Seattle.
After a season running a fast ferry from Long Beach, CA to Catalina Island I pride myself on taking the safety first, with the spirit of adventure, approach to my leadership.
I have always strived to meet the requirements to call myself a waterman, spending endless amount of time surfing, diving, fishing among other landlubber activities like running races, material arts and of course spending time with my two little girls.
The team we have built aboard Calypso will guarantee you and your guest a first-class experience and we look forward to providing you with the voyage you won’t forget.

Will hails from North Hampshire, England where his love for food began. As a young child, he fell in love with the idea of being a chef watching his mother’s home baking and father’s keen Scottish relatives cook simple yet flavorfully. With the full support of his family, he has gone onto work in some of the UK’s top restaurants and hotels before becoming head chef at the age of 25, where he earned a Michelin Bib Gourmand and a seat at the top 50 Gastro pubs in the country. Reflecting at this point and wanting more of a work life balance he has been self-employed since. Still chasing that passion for food has led him on trips to Asia and throughout Europe where he enjoys searching the history and culture especially through food. Now in the USA continuing the journey and hoping to share with you on the plate these experiences all with the secret ingredient, love. When he is off the boat, you can find Will listening to live music, playing music, and exploring new cities.
