Chef Michael, born in Brookline, Massachusetts, was part of a large family of "foodies." His mother made sure all her children knew how to prepare a well-balanced and presented meal by the age of ten. At a young age, his family moved to southern Alaska and started an organic farm. It was then that Michael took an interest in the concept of farm-to-table. Learning how to grow food became a vital piece in his journey to understanding the delicate balance of food. After completing culinary school in the Berkshires, Michael began his culinary career working in restaurants in Boston, the Napa Valley, and Miami Beach. He eventually started working as a private chef. In 2010, Michael took his brothers advice (a yacht captain) and started cooking on the water. Michael loves sourcing farm-fresh ingredients. Helping him create memorable experiences is what makes him happy and fulfilled.
“A great meal is not one that just fills you up. A great meal is a journey that returns you to sources of pleasure you may have forgotten and takes you to places you haven’t been before.” - Thomas Keller

Madison grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia and graduated from Penn State with a degree in international politics and economics. Post-college, she began working in boutique restaurants in the downtown Philadelphia area. In the summer of 2017, she gained interest in the maritime industry while on vacation in Ocean City, Maryland, and was able to tour a galleon-tall ship. At the time, they were looking for crew to join the boat, and she jumped at the opportunity to sail across the Atlantic Ocean. Soon after, she began her career in yachting, working on both the deck and the interior. Madison has been able to travel the Caribbean, the Mediterranean, and the Northeast of the US and finish her 100-ton US Coast Guard license, even though she works with the interior department. Madison loves the outdoors, and in 2019, she did a solo pilgrimage, walking the El Camino Trail across France and Spain for 34 days. In her downtime, she enjoys taking care of her Airbnb property, exploring, and doing yoga. You can find her running on her breaks, working towards the Palm Beach Marathon. With four years of experience on CHASSEUR, she brings a very personable and fun attitude to the team and jumps at any opportunity to get out on the water!

Ahoy there! I'm Captain Todd, and I've spent over 35 years navigating the world's waters, clocking in over a quarter million nautical miles on numerous vessels. From the serene Mediterranean to the bustling ports of the Caribbean, Baltic Sea, New England, and Alaska, I have loved every minute of my time on the sea. Hailing from the sunny shores of San Diego, I got my start sailing racing yachts right in the heart of the bay. The thrill of competition captured me, especially after the exhilarating 1987 America's Cup. Since then, I've been fortunate to crew and race on sail yachts across the globe—including the very boat that won the ’87 Cup, Stars & Stripes—with one unforgettable voyage taking me from Venezuela through the Baltic all the way to St. Petersburg, Russia. As my maritime journey continued, I transitioned to skippering motor yachts, with a particular affinity for charter boats. There’s something magical about creating unforgettable experiences for guests as we sail through different ports. With unwavering optimism and a penchant for spreading positivity, I ensure that every moment aboard is nothing short of extraordinary. Whether you're aboard CHASSEUR for an hour or a month, rest assured that your time with me will be an adventure to treasure forever. When I'm not at the helm of CHASSEUR, you'll likely find me on a stand-up paddleboard, catching the wind on a sailboat, or tearing up the trails off-roading.

Born with the Rocky Mountains as his backyard in Colorado, Peter had a sense for adventure from a young age. He grew up hiking, camping, and riding dirt bikes through alpine trails with his family. Eventually, he ventured into working at a local ski resort during college, graduating with a degree in marketing from Fort Lewis in Durango. Combining his education and outdoor experience, he moved to working in the snowboard industry with brands and events—including driving snowcats and assisting in building the Winter X Games in Aspen. In 2017, Peter left the snow and mountains behind to pursue a career in yachting, and within a couple of days, he found himself on an Atlantic crossing as part of a delivery to Spain. Since then, he has kept up the pace, working on busy charter vessels with heavy watersports programs and leading scuba diving with guests. His home at sea has taken him across the Caribbean, Mediterranean, Bahamas, and New England. A long-standing crew member of CHASSEUR, Peter has been onboard for the last four years. He brings a witty and personable attitude to the team and enjoys showing unique excursions to anyone who steps onboard. In his free time, Peter enjoys flying Cessnas and Pipers, holding a private pilot’s license, scuba diving, and free diving, as well as working on projects around his Airbnb property in Florida.

Patrick, born in Manhattan and raised in Australia and New Jersey, has been on the water since the age of seven when he skippered an eight-foot Optimist sailboat with his older siblings and cousins; since then, he’s never looked back from a life at sea. He began competing soon after and would continue to sail in regattas from the Gulf of Mexico to New England, later sailing for his high school and on the Georgetown University Sailing Team. Patrick's first job was coaching young sailors to race, and he ended that chapter of his maritime career as the Brigantine Yacht Club’s Youth Sailing Program Director. Seeking to lean further into nautical life, Patrick then started working on motorboats: center consoles at first, and later a sportfish that cruised from the Bahamas to the canyons off of the northeast shore. He then moved to Florida in order to be at the global center of the yachting industry, where he started his career on yachts. Now holding his USCG 100-ton license, Patrick continues his passion for working on the water. When he’s not on deck, Patrick is still rarely far from the ocean. You might catch him reliving his sailing days, fishing, waterskiing, or wake surfing. Patrick feels so fortunate to have the opportunity to live out his love of the sea professionally as well as share his affinity with the guests and crew of CHASSEUR.

Steven, a Midwest native, started his culinary career at the age of 17 in his hometown of Jackson, Michigan, waiting tables and cooking at a local diner. He continued working in the restaurant industry while pursuing a degree in psychology; however, it soon became clear that his passion for the culinary arts was the path he should follow. Looking for more cultural diversity and warmer climes, Steven moved to Florida and attended Le Cordon Bleu Culinary School in Miami. He expanded his education upon completing his culinary school education through an internship at El Rincon in Fuenlabrada, a community in Madrid, Spain. After his time abroad in Europe, Steven returned to South Florida and worked at various fine dining restaurants in the Fort Lauderdale area as a Sous Chef, executive Sous Chef and pastry Chef. He eventually became the Executive chef at the acclaimed farm-to-table restaurant Market 17 in Fort Lauderdale. Steven's love of the water and adventure made for a natural transition to the yachting industry in 2012. The very next year, he took home first place in his debut chef’s competition at the Newport Yacht Charter Show. Chef Steven’s style is a symphony of classical French and Spanish techniques blended with Caribbean, Latin, and Mediterranean flavors. His farm-to-table background emphasizes great local ingredients, fresh herbs, and international spices. Chef Steven is happy to customize menus to personal tastes, eating habits, and dietary restrictions. When Steven’s not onboard, he plays soccer with a local club and watches every soccer game. Go Madrid! You can also find Chef Steven at home with his son, Noah, and his expecting wife, Erica.
