Holding a Master’s degree in Marine Conservation from the University of Miami and certifications including STCW, ENG1, and Motorboat Operator, she approaches her role with precision, safety awareness, and an innate respect for the marine environment. Friendly, creative, and hardworking, Lucia excels at guest service, housekeeping, and activity support, bringing enthusiasm and reliability to every charter.

With extensive cruising throughout Florida, The Bahamas, the Caribbean, and Central America — including complex multi-country boss trips — he is known for meticulous trip planning, expert boat handling, and a strong engineering foundation that ensures COFINA remains in top operational condition. Matthew’s background as a dive instructor, EMT, engineer, and deck leader makes him an exceptionally well-rounded captain. He prioritizes professionalism, teamwork, and clear communication, creating a supportive environment where both guests and crew feel confident, welcome, and at ease. Oneal McCarthy is a dedicated and hands-on Marine Engineer with extensive experience aboard both private and charter yachts ranging from 30–50m. With a strong background in diesel engines, HVAC, hydraulics, electrical systems, and preventative maintenance, he brings a calm, solutions-focused approach to every operation onboard. Having worked as both Sole Engineer and 2nd Engineer, Oneal is passionate about keeping vessels running safely and efficiently while delivering a seamless guest experience. Originally from Jamaica, he enjoys travel, water sports, and exploring new cultures, and is known for his positive attitude, teamwork, and strong work ethic.

Holding a 500GT Captain license (STCW Reg. II/3) and advanced certifications in security, dynamic positioning, engineering, and heliport operations, he brings technical depth and operational strength to the COFINA deck and engineering teams. Alfonso is skilled in teak and exterior maintenance, tender driving, underwater operations, navigation, and safety procedures. His experience cruising throughout Mexico, Belize, Honduras, and Panama has shaped his ability to problem-solve in remote locations and manage vessel operations with confidence. Dedicated, humble, and hands-on, Alfonso contributes to both the guest experience and the mechanical reliability of COFINA.
