Marjan was born and raised in Split, Croatia, where being close to the water naturally shaped his path into a career at sea. He started young, working as a skipper from 2018, running speedboats, sailing yachts and motor yachts along the Dalmatian coast before stepping into the merchant navy to further develop his career. What really sets Marjan apart is the balance he brings between hands-on yachting experience and formal officer training. Having progressed to 2nd Officer on commercial vessels, he’s used to bridge watchkeeping, passage planning and managing safety procedures, all while keeping a calm, approachable presence. Qualified up to Master 500GT and Yachtmaster, he brings both confidence and quiet reliability, helping ensure everything runs smoothly and safely for guests. He’s always ready to jump in where needed and is keen to ensure guests enjoy their time at sea to the full.
