Kerry was born in Scotland, lived in Spain for a while, and started school in Trinidad, but grew up in South Africa. After university, he set off on a gap year and never really stopped moving. With a yachting career that predates many of today’s junior crew, it’s fair to say he’s seen a thing or two and sailed more than a few seas. Five years ago, Kerry attempted life on land and after starting a business and family in Mallorca, somehow ended up in Belgium and has now happily defected back to sea.
