Captain Dogan Saka joined DAIMA in May 2012. Istanbul-born Dogan is 40 years of age and has spent much of his life at sea. He began his career in yacht charter as a 14-year-old. Starting out in the position of a deckhand, Dogan has worked his way up through the ranks and gained his captain’s license in 2008.

Dogan speaks an intermediate level of English. He loves working on board traditional Turkish gulets and sailing yachts. A keen sailor, Dogan is always determined to get the best sailing performance out of DAIMA. Safety of guests is a priority for Dogan. He is very attentive to details.

Dogan also makes sure charterers are happy with their holiday on board DAIMA. His favorite cruising area in Turkey is Hisaronu Bay that includes fantastic views of Datça, Selimiye, and Bozburun. Captain Doğan is also very familiar with the coasts of Greece, Croatia, Italy and some part of Spain.

When Dogan has free time, he loves being with his family and a newly-born child. He also enjoys riding a bicycle and traveling.

First Mate Bülent was born in Ordu in 1976 and was graduated from high school.
As he lived on a seaside during his childhood, he started to work at the sea. He has been working in yacht industry for 26 years. Bülent has a yacht captain's certificate also.

He has an experiences on international/national private yachts. 2025 season will be his 4th year on Daima.

He speaks intermediate-level English

Chef, Ekrem Bektasli is 45 years of age, 2025 will be his 9th season on board DAIMA.

He is originally from the Turkish town of Iskenderun. It was in the middle school when Ekrem understood that he wanted to master the art of culinary.

His first work experience at the age of 14. After finishing studies, Ekrem traveled to Saudi Arabia where he worked at à la carte restaurant and then began to cook for the members of Saudi royal family. Before moving on to his next destination that was Cyprus, Ekrem had spent almost three years in the Persian Gulf.

His career as a chef on board began 14 years ago. Ekrem really loves his job that is also his life hobby.
Ekrem speaks intermediate English, and he knows Arabic. He cooks using only fresh and organic ingredients. His favorite products to work with are fish and vegetables.

Before any charter begins, Ekrem carefully studies the preference lists that guests fill in. The spectrum of his skills in the galley has no limits, so every taste will be satisfied.

When the season is over, Ekrem comes back home to Marmaris where he spends a winter vacation with his wife and son.

Engineer, Ümit Uysal, is from Iskenderun on Turkey's Mediterranean coast. He holds an Industrial Automation Engineer’s degree from Antalya's Akdeniz University.

Ümit, who has been with the yacht since the time of her construction and knows the yacht intimately. From 2006 until the present day, he has worked on or alongside the sea, always in the wings as engineer for Pruva's fleet of yachts, and most recently DAIMA, whom he joined in 2009.

Ümit knows the complete workings of the yacht's mechanical and electrical systems and ensures that everything remains in proper working order.

He loves to ride motocross, go mountaineering and keep fit with water sports in his spare time.

Chief Stewardess Necmiye was born in Manisa in 1986. She has two different university decree which are Public Relations and Department of Tourism and Hotel Management.

She has been working on a yacht charter industry for 17 years. She started to work on yachts as a solo hostes then she was continuing work as a chief stewardess.

Necmiye has a private and multinational charter experiences in Caribbean and Mediterranean Sea.

She is good at cocktails and silver service and speaks English fluently.

2025 season will be her 3rd season on Daima.

Necmiye is well organized, helpful and cheerful crew member. Also she likes yoga,
cinema and books also has a passion for traveling.

Deckhand Ali was born in 1983 and graduated from high school.

Due to his passion for the sea, he has been working in the yacht industry for 10 years and this season his 5th year on Daima.

He really loves his job and is always happy to be useful and helpful both to the guests and his teammates. His hobbies include riding motorcycles, sailing, hiking in nature, and playing console games.
