Andrew was born in Essex and raised in Northern Ireland. Half Irish and half Greek, he developed a passion for food and fishing from an early age. Much of his culinary inspiration came from his Greek grandmother, whose simple, home-cooked meals left a lasting impression. Andrew worked his way up from kitchen porter to chef, honing his skills in Michelin-starred restaurants across Belfast, London, and Copenhagen. He later opened and successfully ran a beachside grilled fish restaurant in the Danish countryside. To fund his career-focused travels, Andrew gained extensive experience working in luxury private chalets in the French and Swiss Alps, where he admits he spent more time cooking than skiing. It was during this time that he discovered a love for the challenges and creative freedom of private dining. The pandemic ultimately led Andrew into the yachting industry, and he hasn’t looked back. After five years at sea, he returns to the Mediterranean from his last vessel in Australia, drawn by what he believes are some of the finest seafood and produce in the world. He now looks forward to using his passion and experience to create unforgettable experiences for the charter guests aboard Eleni.
