Born and raised in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, Jose brings a vibrant Mediterranean flair to the galley of ELYSIUM I. Having attended an international school, he is fluent in both Spanish and German, and his diverse cultural background is reflected in his dynamic culinary style.
Jose has built an impressive résumé, having worked in some of Europe’s most exclusive locations. At the prestigious Villa Chenoiserie in St. Tropez, he was responsible for creating bespoke menus tailored to the individual tastes of guests, from elegant breakfasts to themed dining evenings. He further honed his skills at Le Chardon Mountain Lodges in Val d’Isère, a five-star chalet company and winner of the 2012 World Travel Awards.
Jose is renowned for his innovative approach to cooking, expertly combining flavours, textures, and colours to craft imaginative dishes with exceptional presentation.
Outside the galley, Jose has a keen interest in sport, both playing and watching, and is also an advanced snowboarder who enjoys the thrill of the slopes as much as the serenity of the sea.

Adam brings a calm, capable presence and a wealth of technical knowledge to his role as engineer onboard ELYSIUM I. He possesses a strong work ethic and a deep passion for his craft.
Originally trained in the merchant navy, Adam gained hands-on experience with a wide range of electrical and mechanical systems, while also learning the importance of teamwork within a close-knit, high-pressure environment. This solid foundation prepared him well for the demands of the yachting industry, in which he has worked since 2016.
For Adam, the opportunity to travel and explore new places is the “cherry on the cake”. Over the past years, his career has taken him to remarkable destinations including the Galápagos Islands, Istanbul, and many parts of the Mediterranean, each one reinforcing his love for both engineering and life at sea.
When he’s not listening to the hum of the engine room, Adam enjoys staying active and admits to having a soft spot for the gym. His commitment to health and fitness mirrors the dedication he brings to his work: focused, consistent, and quietly driven.

Originally from New Zealand, Amelia is a highly experienced stewardess serving onboard ELYSIUM I. She began her yachting career in 2015 and has since developed a strong foundation in all aspects of interior service. With several years in the industry, she is a well-versed professional known for her excellent communication and social skills.
Confident, capable, and calm under pressure, she takes great pride in delivering unforgettable experiences for her guests, effortlessly anticipating and fulfilling their needs. Her passion for hospitality is matched by her natural leadership qualities, she thrives when guiding and supporting junior crew, always leading by example while remaining hands-on in every area of her role.
In her free time, she enjoys staying active, spending time outdoors, reading, and exploring new places. She also has a keen interest in health and wellness.

Originally from the UK, Laura brings energy, enthusiasm, and a strong work ethic to her role as stewardess on board ELYSIUM I. Her journey into the maritime world began at the age of 16, when she first took to the water sailing dinghies, a hobby that quickly developed into a true passion.
Having earned her instructor qualification early on, Laura knew from the outset that she wanted to build a career in yachting. She chose to pursue the UKSA Superyacht Cadetship, recognising it as the ideal route to acquire the skills and knowledge necessary for a successful life at sea.
Safety-conscious, driven, and highly motivated, Laura thrives in the fast-paced environment of yachting. She embraces every opportunity to learn and grow, and her positive attitude has enabled her to take on increasing responsibilities with confidence and ease.
In her free time, Laura’s love of the outdoors continues to shine. She enjoys all water sports, exploring new places, walking, and coasteering, always on the lookout for her next adventure.

Captain John Chubb, originally from South Africa, has been a dedicated and passionate figure in the yachting industry since 2005. With nearly two decades of experience, he has established an outstanding reputation as a dependable leader at sea, having captained yachts of up to 60 metres.
John brings his signature professionalism and enthusiasm to ELYSIUM I. His extensive cruising experience spans both the Mediterranean and the Caribbean, where he has developed a deep understanding of the regions’ waters, ports, and cultures.
He seamlessly blends exceptional service standards with a strong sense of teamwork. Known for his cheerful and sincere demeanour, John is a genuine team player, recognised for his excellent interpersonal skills and keen sense of humour, qualities that make him a firm favourite among guests.
