Gareth has always had a love for the ocean from a young age, ever since watching ‘Jaws’ on repeat as a three year old child. As he grew older he grew restless in the UK and decided to go travelling, spending a lot of time in Madagascar and South East Asia. Eventually he would become a scuba diving instructor, spending five years working in Asia before spending a year working on the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. As a natural progression he moved onto yachts, initially working as a dive instructor and being lucky to dive most locations anywhere between Canada and Australia. Over time he spent more time on top of the ocean, moving onto the bridge and working his way up to Chief Officer. He has since moved back to his hometown in Scotland with his young family in order to enjoy a more settled life.
