Kenny was born in Vietnam and lived there until he was 8 years old. His family then immigrated to Auckland, New Zealand. Kenny spent his young years playing soccer and professional paintball. He considers himself a geek and spent his time gaming and computer programming. He also had a keen interest in music and deejaying. After school he completed an apprenticeship in Aircraft Engineering and worked in the industry for 6 years. He then decided to convert over into the yachting industry in order to be able to travel more.

Gini was born on the Isle of Man where she spent her childhood years on and around the water. She learnt how to sail and was hands on with her dads' boat. She enjoyed camping with the family and spending their summer holidays camping in France. Gini enjoys surfing, skiing, skateboarding and is an exceptional singer. She studied vocal performance in college and recorded an album. In 2014, she joined the yachting industry and has gracefully worked her way up to becoming Chief Mate.

Growing up in Villeneuve Loubet in the South of France, Olivier spent his teenage years sailing with his father. He joined the French Merchant Naval Academy in 1995 and successfully completed his training in 2003 as both Chief Engineer and Captain 3000. He gained promotion to First Officer and 2nd Engineer on merchant vessels through experience, on-board training, examinations and selection boards. He left the Merchant shipping industry in 2006 to join yachting and commenced his career as Chief Engineer on some of the most reputable Super Yachts.
Olivier was involved in the building and project management of four super yachts.

Yann was originally born and raised in Brittany, the western part of France on the Atlantic Ocean. He has been sailing since he was 8 years old and always lived around the ocean. Yann studied Mechanical Engineering in the French Merchant Navy School. He started his career on commercial vessels (tankers, cruise ships, ferries) before making the transition to Mega Yachts 10 years ago. He bought his own sailing boat and sailed across the Caribbean and Pacific Ocean in 2014/2015. When he is not working, Yann enjoys scuba diving, golf, free diving, sailing and travelling.

Heidi joined Formosa as second stewardess after spending 4 years in the Super Yachting Industry and then became Chief stew on Formosa. Growing up in Cape Town, South Africa, Heidi soon discovered her desire to travel and experience the cultures of the world. After completing her BCOM degree in Marketing Management, Heidi worked in Real Estate before following her passion of luxury hospitality. With her love for travel, languages and culture, Heidi was absorbed into the Spanish culture, travelling there when ever she gets a chance. She is also an avid wine lover and enjoys dancing.

Growing up on the beautiful island of Corsica in the Mediterranean Sea, Julien spent his summers sailing, diving and exploring. After gaining his Masters in Economics and Entrepreneurship at the university of Aix-en- Provence, he then went on to study English in the UK. Julien was ready for a new challenge and was introduced to the yachting industry. He joined Formosa in 2015 just before she was launched and hasn't looked back since.

Nicole was born in Johannesburg, South Africa and spent her childhood and teen years horse riding and enjoying a variety of sports. Nicole went on to study Sport Psychology and specialized in Biokinetics. She excelled in Touch Rugby and represented South Africa at the Touch Rugby World Cup twice. She always had a love for travel which led her to joining the yachting industry in May 2015, where she discovered a keen interest for service and hospitality. Now she is thrilled to be part of FORMOSA’s crew and cannot wait to welcome new guests onboard and make them experience their best time.

Andre, also known as Tokkie, was born in Johannesburg. At the age of 7, his family moved to Cape Town where he grew up playing football, surfing, skateboarding and various other outdoor sports. Tokkie studied Mechanical Engineering, and moved over to specialise in Marine Engineering. He started out his Maritime career on container vessels, before transferring over into the yachting industry. Tokkie has a passion for the ocean and all sports related to it. He enjoys the outdoors and keeping fit and active.

Nicole is from a small coastal town south of Durban called St. Winifreds. She grew up in and around the water, taking a keen interest in swimming and water polo. She played some netball and hockey in high school. After school she worked in an accounting firm where she studied Book-keeping/Accounting. She worked there for 3 years before deciding to join the yachting industry. Nicole enjoys hiking, swimming, snorkeling and some yoga.

Daisy is from an English town called Cheltenham in the Southwest of England, close to Bristol. As a young girl, Daisy spent her free time dancing, focusing on Ballet and Modern Dancing. She is an avid animal lover and at the tender age of 14 got her first job as a dog groomer. Daisy is our on-board shop-a-holic, and loves cooking too. She joined the yachting industry when she was 18 years old and has gained a solid two years of experience in the industry. Being British, her specialty is making a "mean cup of tea", as she puts it.
