Chef Mickael St. Martin's culinary journey began humbly at the age of 15, washing dishes in a busy kitchen. His determination and passion for the culinary arts propelled him forward, earning him the opportunity to work in some of Montreal’s most prestigious gastronomic restaurants, where he specialized in French cuisine. Under the mentorship of renowned chefs, Mickael refined his craft, mastering the art of blending tradition with innovation.

With an adventurous spirit and a love for travel, Mickael embraced the role of a private chef, sharing his talents with clients around the world. He finds joy in discovering and incorporating global flavors into his creations, crafting dishes that are both unique and unforgettable. By combining his deep appreciation for French culinary traditions with fresh, local, and seasonal ingredients, Mickael delivers exceptional dining experiences that celebrate creativity and authenticity.

In addition to his culinary pursuits, Mickael is a passionate blues musician. Staying true to his modest roots, he believes in the universal power of food and music to bring people together. A driven and versatile South African yacht stewardess and deckhand, Meeke Kilian brings an impressive combination of hospitality, deck operations, and guest service skills to her role aboard M/Y FREEDOME. With dual experience both on deck and in the interior, Meeke has worked on vessels up to 154 feet, including M/Y Artemis, M/Y Stay Salty, and M/Y Bellissima.

Meeke holds STCW, Powerboat Level 2, and multiple diving certifications (Advanced, Rescue, and Nitrox), allowing her to contribute confidently to both guest-facing and operational aspects of the yacht. Her background includes detailing, service, cocktail making, tender driving, anchoring, and beach set-ups, as well as shipyard and yard period preparation. Meeke is known for her upbeat attitude, adaptability, and meticulous attention to detail—making her an asset to the FREEDOME team and any busy charter program.
